Whopper Plopper!
Cassidee doesn't get too excited unless I do. She has a solid 2 years of fishing at least 1 day a week in the boat now. She must have been a little excited though, with this being a solo trip and the weather being cool she's normally doing her best to take up the entire back deck while she's napping.

I-70 World Series Part 2
Going to have to agree to disagree I guess. Maybe it's my work environment that makes me less sensitive to stuff like that. Go Royals!

Swapped Out Boat Alarm
X2, with having to park my boat in the driveway, I'd like the added security of an alarm and was actually thinking of getting the one that apparently didn't work very well.

Shimano Reel Longivity
I still fish the first 200B Curado I ever bought. It was my only baitcaster for years and has made who knows how many cast from back in my days when I was fishing 7 days a week. Still one of the furthest casting reels I own. I've had it cleaned and supertuned, that's it.

I-70 World Series Part 2
Ventura has done a lot of growing up this year and turned into the pitcher he was suppose to be. He's also young and plays with a lot of fire, he made some bad decisions earlier in the year out of frustration. I think maybe some of the veteran players have calmed him down, maybe pointed out how much better he plays when he doesn't let himself get emotional. The Jays have a reputation for stealing signs. The accusations were flying this series, even of there possibly being someone in the stands signaling batters when it was going to be a fastball when Cueto was pitching. My understanding was Ventura felt they were trying to do it against him and it upset him, can't really be mad at him for being upset about that. He didn't throw at him, not sure that staring at someone can be qualified as trying to start a fight. Lots of pitchers out there will stare a batter down when they do something they don't like. How about the Blue Jays first base coach mouthing off to Ventura?? I guess he's just suppose to let him do that? http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/94787060/v525586883/alcs-gm6-ventura-exits-exchanges-words-with-leiper

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
It's that time of year when I head down I35 and have to wrestle with the decision to go north or south on 75. Thursday I went south and glad I did.

New Shimano Curado Casting Screech Sound From Spool. Bearing?
Malaysia or Japan is where all mine were made (various models of spinning and casting). I did a bunch of searching and could find nothing about any Shimano reels being made in China. Wouldn't be surprised if some components were made there but I'd be really surprised if there's any reels out there that don't have something that was made in China in them.

First Time Duck Hunting
This past year was my first year really going duck hunting over decoys and calling them. First trip my buddy shot two greenheads. The next trip probably ruined me for life because I'll probably never experience another trip like it. Wave after wave of ducks coming over the trees, thousands of them. They couldn't even wait for us to finish setting up the decoys before they were coming in, my buddy didn't even have to call for them. It took a whole hour and a half to limit out, less if we had shot better. Got done so fast that we went fishing afterwords and caught a bunch of fish too It was a good week, my son was born 2 days later.

Fall Bite Is Picking Up!
I'm ready for this "Fall Bite". It took me two days to catch that many fish this past week.

Abu Garcia Ike Rods, Is Mike Using Them?
Edwin Evers fishes BPS Carbonlite rods and reels and does alright. Most rods and reels are good for a year or two, and when they break they can just get new ones. Doesn't work the same for the average angler though.

Fall Wake Swimbaits
Bass will eat a big bait in surprisingly cold water. The key is to move it slowly and make it look easy to catch. One big prey item is a lot more tempting than a small one right now. 60-55 degrees is still plenty warm for them to work. In the fall I'll catch topwater fish all the way into the high 40's sometimes.

Shimano isn't made in China.

Can't go wrong with the Rage Craws. Next you'll be wanting to try the Space Monkey or Rage Bug, and neither of those will disappoint you either.

The Kayak Bass Fishing Journey Has Begun
I recently bought a kayak myself. Like others said, it's really just a matter of getting out and using it. Seems like I add or change something about it every time I go out trying to get it setup just right for me. It's a good time and way different than fishing from the bank or boat.

WIFI at home is sucking but I did manage to get the best explosion I had all day at Wolf with the Plopper on video. As vicious as it is in the video, it was much more so in person.

Bass Puked Up A Bluegill On The Grass, Guess What Happened Next?
My wife had one throw up an eel while she was fighting it in. So I rigged up a YUM Mightee worm and caught one my first cast.

Not a chance. That looks like it's just a matter of time to me.- Bps Reels
I have a PQ that I use for one of my cranking rods and have no complaints. Like someone mentioned, it's a little heavy but not really an issue with a cranking reel.
