First Bass On Frog
One thing about written text, there's no way to hear the tone or delivery of the writer. The only tone you hear is your own interpretation of what was written. If you took it as me talking down that's unfortunate, it wasn't meant to be condescending or disrespectful to the poster. I fish a ton and see a lot of scenarios play over and over. The technique I described is the best I've seen to put frog strikes into the boat. If you have something that works for you by all means stick with it. At the same time, you never learn anything by doing things the same way all the time.

What Is The Best Kind Of Buzzbait?
Only thing I'll add is 3/8oz black on black.

Fishing 20'/25'/ 30' Deep With Crankbaits.
They use C rigs or bottom bouncers here to get them deep.

Walleye guys do it all the time with stick baits.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
This weeks NFL power rankings made me laugh; 23. Kansas City Chiefs (1-4, LW: 15) Without Jamaal Charles and his ability to hit some home runs in the running game, the Chiefs will have to finally open up the passing game or it'll get ugly. Prediction: It'll get ugly.

10' Jon Boat On What Size Body Of Water?
That plastic boat is going to be probably twice as heavy as a 10' johnboat also. I've had both the plastic pond boat and a 12' johnboat. It was all I could do to get my plastic boat into the back of my truck, but I could carry the johnboat over my head to the pond. I had a 2hp motor on my plastic boat for awhile. It added a lot of weight and hassle. I decided to switch to 2 batteries wired parallel instead and was much happier.

I don't think you've ever been there when the Ned rig bite on the dam has been on. You'd almost have to have one person fishing and the other person weighing just to keep up, and it's about that time of year. If you were going to do MLF style I'd think you'd have to do a 15" minimum to weigh. I won't be able to make it regardless, just my $.02.

- 10' Jon Boat On What Size Body Of Water?
I would put the trolling motor on the back and nix the gas motor, you really don't need it on a boat that size. I'd be leery about fishing 2 out of a 10' johnboat but if you're comfortable with it, just make sure you have lifejackets within reach. Lake size is all relative really. You could take it on LOZ, if you launch in the back of a quiet, protected cove and never left that area.- 6Th Sense Crankbaits
Man there's so many places I fish that I've been needing a bait like that where a bait like a Baby -1 runs too shallow but a squarebill runs too deep. Dis gon be gud- Finally.........i Finally Caught Fish With A Super Fluke
I hate fishing flukes with a passion, but the stupid things work sometimes so I have to have them. I'm actually more of a fan of the YUM Houdini Shad or even more of the Havoc The Jerk. It seems like half the baits in the bag are crooked when I buy actual flukes.- Having Success With Bladed Jigs
It is more of a thump than the sharp vibration of the Zman baits. I think a lot of that is due to the increased range of motion on baits with the split ring though.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Couple spots with lots of pads at Melvern. I tried hard to get a smallie to hit a frog in them but no luck.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
I was really planning on a day 2 at Melvern. I was pretty surprised when I wasn't the only person with my hand in the air. Didn't even think my partner was going to vote for CV both days I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed. I don't think I could ever get tired of catching smallmouth.- Tough Day Out In The Water.
Late summer/early fall is a tough transitional period that sees the fish really scatter out and become very difficult to pattern. We're getting past that point and more into the fall here and the fishing has improved but still hasn't hit the full swing we'll see in the next couple weeks. I imagine in your area you're really in the first period I mentioned though, which in that case, you really shouldn't feel too bad about it.- What Time Of The Day Is More Productive To You?
My biggest fish are usually in that 10-2 window, but I catch more in the morning than any other time. Night time is really good during the heat of the summer.- Practicing A Skip Cast On Smooth Concrete
It won't be very realistic since no matter what you cast it will slide along fairly well on smooth concrete. In water, your bait is going to slow down or stop completely much faster. - 10' Jon Boat On What Size Body Of Water?
