Another vote for switching to a San Diego Jam knot. I used to have problems one in awhile with fluoro breaking on the hookset when there was no reason for it to but it's not an issue once I switch to the SDJ for fluoro.

I wouldn't save them just for prespawn, put them on a weighted Trig and flip then into cover or around docks or drag them on a big swinging football head, they work great all through the summer.

Does Tanglewood have some good fish in it? I have access to it but have always heard it only has small fish.

I'll be fishing tomorrow somewhere before Olathe since it's my new days off. If someone wants to get out I have an empty seat.

Congrats man! Nothing in the world like the feeling of being a dad. It goes fast though. Seems like we just brought our son home yesterday and he's already a year and a half old!

I have a 115 as well. I already have a flash carp, clear smelt, and clear ayu in the 175 already, but the nude black has been calling my name for awhile now. That bass pattern is nasty.

I kept track of how many bass I caught one year just out of curiosity. I've never had the patience to log every bass I catch other than clicking a counter.

I have not been on the lake this year but from what I've heard it's stained, a little high, but little junk floating on the surface. Sounds like the fishing has still be pretty decent for bass and wipers.

Got one of the biggest fish I've ever caught from one of the local lakes that I fish a lot. Ripping her out of the water willows was a good time too

Had I not sight fished it, I could see where the mistake could be made. There was a bunch of them that size in the area of the Griffen Rd canal where I was fishing.

I don't fish the red ones, but I know a lot of guys do. I'm transitioning to all unpainted heads, it's such a tiny piece of lead that I don't feel it will make a difference. I have a bunch of the ones I poured still in either watermelon red flake, candy purple, or hot pink. I really haven't noticed a difference in the number of strikes on any color or unpainted, it just saves a ton of time and effort to fish the unpainted heads.
