  1. A few different colors to get the creative juices flowing A couple of my go to baits in really muddy water. Do they eat crappie where you fish? They love them here, especially the bigger fish. This bait is a killer in darker stained water for some reason. Killer gill with a painted translucent copper blade A couple recent special request. It's a pain to paint them but I feel it makes a big difference so it's worth it to me.
  2. I had 2 supremes, both took a dump on me. One of them the side plate screws backed out a little without me knowing and when I set the hook on a stout smallmouth it just destroyed one of the internal gears. The other one, when the drag would turn while fighting a fish the drag knob would turn with it and tighten the drag a little until it got to the point that it would no longer give line. Pure Fishing has tremendous customer service though as I sent both of them in and within a week in each case I had a brand new Supreme XT at my front door. Not only replaced my reel, but upgraded me for free!
  3. It only takes a couple extra seconds to tie a bait on versus using a snap and it's a good way to help prevent break offs due to frayed line. At the very least I'd suggest going to just a good duolock snap and losing the swivel. The swivel serves no purpose and if you've never had that cheap brass snap open up while fighting a fish, it's just a matter of time. A snap serves basically the same purpose a split ring so you can always remove the split rings off the nose of your bait and clip onto them that way to keep the action as true as possible.
  4. I powder paint mine in several different colors; copper, gold, black, white, chartreuse, orange, blue, purple, brown, and red. I'm a big fan of the painted blades myself.
  5. Cassidee has been going with me since she was a puppy and now I can't go without her or she pouts for a week. That's Nebo, one of the most difficult lakes in the state to even get a bite but it also has some of the biggest fish in the state and almost certainly the biggest fish swimming in a state lake.
  6. Yep, I have Lemon/lime and one of my biggest smallmouth from the lake by my parent's house about ripped the rod out of my hands when she ate that thing.
  7. Know where you can find more of that color per chance? I found one and it was a killer. I also found they don't fare too well if you slam them off a bridge piling
  8. If you have a Harbor Freight nearby they sell 1lb containers of red powder paint for the same price as 2oz of Pro-tech powder paint, just FYI. I use their flat black, white, and red.
  9. Check out the Okuma Mat Daddy. I have one and it's a sweet punching rod for less than half the rod you're talking about.
  10. I was scrambling to hide the thread when I first read the title. Thankfully I read the first post and realized it was a serious thread and not just someone trolling. I seriously laughed out loud once I realized it. Ratherbfishing's comment got me pretty good too
  11. And since Hi Salenity hasn't posted it yet, here's what 9 1/4 pounds of Kansas bass looks like.
  12. This is my 7lb14oz Kansas PB. I fish almost strictly public waters in Kansas and have caught a couple pretty nice fish through the years.
  13. People have hobbies other than fishing?? I don't get it?
  14. Same here. DSG=Dick's Sporting Goods
  15. My boats is sitting in 3' of water, flipping into less than 2' Thursday night we won a tournament flipping grass and never caught a bass deeper than 2'. One of our biggest came off the backside of the weeds in less than 1' of water. Even a big bass only needs 8-10 inches of water to cover it's back and if there's vegetation to hide under and protect it from the sun, they're not afraid to sit in water that shallow.
  16. lurenet shows the Booyah Hard Knocker and One Knocker going to be made in Rayburn Red
  17. Tried to order some but they only take Paypal? That'd be fine if I hadn't just drained my Paypal account on a Dep's
  18. That's a Storm Subwart. Awesome little wake bait that's unfortunately no longer in production. Lots of guys would probably pay well over retail for it. Personally, I'd keep fishing it but lose the snap swivel to get the full potential out of it.
  19. Looks like a blacktip? Don't bulls have really rounded snouts or does that develop more as they get larger?
  20. My buddy got a good one this morning on the Spro Rat in Morning Dawn, 4lb 13oz. I had just caught a solid keeper and hadn't turned the camera back on unfortunately so I only got the end of the fight after I popped the camera off my windshield and held it while I lipped his fish.
  21. X2, looks great and it's by Duo so I have no doubt it will be.
  22. The Xcaliber XRK50 in Rayburn Red (now made by Booyah and goes by a different name).
