Summertime Activities

We all love fishing. But I imagine that some (SOME!) of us have other hobbies and activities we enjoy. What summertime activities do you enjoy outside of fishing? Personally I love camping and grilling. Being around family and friends. I am also trying to get into photography! What about you?

I love summer movies, going to state parks and riding my bike around.  And yeah, I want to get into photography too.

My summer activities are pretty much the same as my winter activities. With the exception that my fiancée will ride on the bike with me. She ain't real fond of 90 mph in the cold on a Harley. Otherwise, its camp, hunt, fish, and ride. Not necessarily in that order.

Polishing, primping and driving my restored 1965 GTO.

It's more of a year round obsession really.

Also, taking trips in our new motor home.

As a matter of fact, We're currently on our first extended trip now.

We just left home yesterday heading to Charleston SC, then to Williamsburg VA, Washington DC, up to Gettysburg, over to Canton Oh to see the NFL hall of fame, and then to Bourbonnais Ill for the opening of the Chicago Bears training camp.

Then we'll just meander our way home to SW Fla stopping at either Guntersville, Chickamauga or Seminole (none of which I've ever been too) depending on the route we take for a few days of real fun! ;)

If I could fish every day I probably would.  I do enjoy golfing with my wife and playing with grand children.

This year I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to coach my son's little league team. He wanted to quit baseball last year because he had an awful coach for the past 2 years. Now he enjoyed baseball so much that we spend at least 4 days out of the week doing some type of baseball activity. Either playing catch, going down to the batting cages for some hitting, I got him a training stick and about 3 dozen training balls and we have BP at home or he can hit off a tee. It's great to watch his enthusiasm for the sport now.

Nothing like playing catch with your son though.

I also love flying drones, but the one I had flew off so that was sad:(

Fishing.

The September NASCAR race in Richmond.

Reorganizing my baits over and over again, looking for those that I have not thrown in a while to give them a try.

Going to estate and yard sales looking for antique fishing lures and other fishing tackle.

Accompanying my wife on her quilting ventures and shows.

Swimming for exercise.

I have a bunch of hobbies.  Cycling, grilling and smoking large quantities of pork and beef, camping, hiking, hanging out with my son and wife....pretty much like to keep myself busy.  I also do different types of fishing like fly fishing for both cold water and warm water species, surf fishing and some inshore fishing.

I enjoy swimming, and taking out the jetskis.

Although I do find myself playing basketball 5 times a week.

Swimming, running, a lot of basketball. Pretty much exercise. Not a whole lot I enjoy besides fishing :D
