  1. If that's the worse thing that I'm eating, I'm good with that. I love hotdogs. If it taste good I'm not going to stop eating it just because what goes into it is "gross".
  2. Welcome!
  3. It's a private lake that my buddy lives on, Hampton Lakes.
  4. You haven't been paying very close attention if that's the most ridiculous statement you've read here.
  5. It's that time of year. Flatheads are holing up to spawn and getting very protective so if you drop a bait on their heads they're probably going to eat it.
  6. Megastrike works great to lube up your soft swimbaits. I used to use the Gulp spray alot and felt like it helped on several occasions.
  7. They look great. I almost bought some while they were on sale but then I found out VMC HD flipping hooks were on sale at Academy for $2 a pack and all the sudden I'm stocked on flipping hooks again
  8. I have 3 Mettles, you can't beat them for the money.
  9. That fish is a tank! I can't get a Slammer bite to save my life this year for some reason
  10. I agree that you're pond is probably overpopulated. I wouldn't be worried about the big bass you put in there not being able to compete, but it sounds like there's so much food in there that they're probably almost impossible to catch without using livebait. I would try thinning out a bunch of bass and crappie, which can quickly overpopulate a pond, and see if that helps. I don't know if you can there but here you can have a state biologist come out and sample your pond and give you ideas on how to properly manage it depending on your management goals.
  11. Ouch! At least it's not in a bad/sensitive spot.
  12. This is how I roll at lunch time on the water.
  13. I just bought a Lexa 4.9:1 and like it so far. Cast well and grinds those big baits in with ease.
  14. It might get tougher, but it certainly isn't over! If you really want to fire up your summertime fishing, get out there an hour before dark and fish until an hour after sunrise!
  15. I fish a bladed jig and a brush jig at night and that's about it.
  16. Most I've spent was something around $80 for a Deps Bull Shooter Jr. Only caught 1 on it so far but it's had some big followers. The one step down from that is around $65 for a Deps Slide Swimmer 175. I have 3 with 1 more on the way and they've caught me dozens of fish.
  17. Be careful, that bladed jig bite is addicting
  18. I fished Olathe Wednesday after I got off work. Caught quite a few fish but this was about the only one worth seeing.
  19. Academy had a tiny frog that is 1/8 or 1/4oz. I fish it on a medium baitcaster and 40lb braid.
  20. Here you go. I wish I could zoom in on the fish jumping in the first one and the boat wake the second one kicked up right before it hit my bait.
