  1. We have some lakes that could benefit from a bunch of bass being removed but nobody wants to keep them. Slot limit lakes too with lots of fish under the 13" slot that are big enough to clean and would probably still taste pretty good.
  2. The back seat is open for you. Not sure how much you'll need a finesse rig but you never know.
  3. I wouldn't think that would have been much of a fight. So fat it doesn't seen like it could swim very well, kind of like those super fat, fancy goldfish that kind of just limp around a fish tank. Just the massive size would make it some serious work to drag in on the light tackle they usually seem to use across the pond though.
  4. River2Sea makes great baits with quality finishes and components. The Bubble Walker has been a killer for me this year. If the water ever clears up, I expect the Rovers to continue to produce like they did for a minute before the constant rains started and muddied everything up. Their squarebills are nice, and the Whopper Plopper has somewhat of a cult following around here but I've seen enough fish caught on it to know it works. $12 for a bait with good paint, hooks and split rings I don't have to change? Yeah, I'll probably try a couple.

  9. Skunked has been around longer than I have, he's hardly a lurker. I can almost guarantee he didn't catch them on a Ned rig and not anywhere very close to the dam if you go WAY back and read some of his past Melvern reports. I'm guessing the 17 year reference was meaning that they were eatinG cicadas and probably topwater too.
  10. I was thinking about going to Pleasanton if you're interested.
  11. If anyone wants to fish tomorrow I have an empty seat. Also have an empty seat for La Cygne Thursday night.
  12. They don't spray your boat anymore.
  13. I pour my own so I can customize hook and weight size.
  14. One of the lakes I fish, wacky smokes Trig for numbers, but the Trig catches all the big fish.
  15. 1/4oz bullet weight, 4/0 EWG hook, pitch it at everything that a fish might hold on. There's tons of ways to fish them, but that's about the best way to use them that I've found.
  16. Yes, the two light blue ones are Ethos rods. There's 7 more in the rod locker. The darker blue rods are St.Croix LTBs. There's 5 more of those in the rod locker.
  17. King Shad Bass Pro just reintroduced their XPS soft swimbait that is a nice little bait. The 168 S waver or two smaller sizes of Savage Gear Glide Swimmer are good baits.
