  1. It's that time of year when PB's start falling! Congrats!
  2. Olive Shiner did well for me in clear water when I fished DT's.
  3. California, maybe, but even that is a long shot. I don't think we'll see a 20+ from Florida, let alone a world record.
  4. Which one are you talking about? Casting, or either of the 2 different spinning models? I have both versions of the Supreme spinning (MGX and XT). I really like the XT but I wish I'd just stuck with the President instead of buying the MGX's that I have. They're nice reels, I just don't think they're $40 more nice.
  5. Prespawn hasn't even started around here. Struggling through the late winter season still.
  6. 100% of the bass I've caught this year that weren't from a power plant lake were caught on jerkbaits.
  7. Looks pretty cool!
  8. I barely had enough room for them in the livewell
  9. Only 1 bass to be had this morning along with a limit of trout. A Buzz Baits 110+1 KO got my only green fish. Funny how all the rest ignore your offerings then one just hammers it. Pretty decent fish for Kill Creek too.
  10. I'm going after work to fight the wind. I'll be after trout and bass.
  11. I think most the guys on here know Jon (basshunter0731) Glad they got someone out there other than Ku who knows what to look for. They can't catch everything but a couple of my buddies that have worked out there couldn't ID a smallmouth from a largemouth if their lives depending on it.
  12. Has anyone tried their new segmented squarebills? The concept piqued my interest so I grabbed one the other day.
  13. That looks like lots of.... work, I hate filleting crappie. Then again, I don't eat them so I rarely do Getting to be that time of year when I catch a few fishing jerkbaits for bass though.
  14. I had a 45 on my 16' Lowe and it was never too short. I had a 52 for awhile, I can't count the number of times that thing got in the way when casting, retrieving, or setting the hook.
  15. Good to see you get your kids in on it too!
  16. My HOA doesn't allow boats in the driveway, so I park it in the driveway They also don't have any one or any way to enforce their rules, which is why some houses have quit paying dues altogether. I think it would fit in the garage if I did some careful backing and angling but I'd rather my wife park her car in the garage.
  17. I'm sure Mike can make you what you're looking for. I made some little 1/8-1/4 ounce jigs with short hooks just for river smallies so I know Siebert's can do it.
  18. If I put all my fish together that I've caught since it started warming up, I'd almost have 1 real fish
  19. Our Academy still carries them, Wal Mart has a bunch too.
  20. 20mph is a gentle breeze around here in the spring (and most of the year for that matter). I fish all the same baits, because I have to. We had a small tournament a couple years ago in the fall that we won fishing jigs and weighless Senkos, despite 25-30mph winds. That was back when I had a 16' aluminum too. When you fight the wind all the time you just get use to it.
  21. I have no problem choosing because 3/8oz is the only size I carry
  22. I'm a bit partial but if you haven't looked at Garmin recently, I'd highly suggest it. I've never had a real nice unit but I'm amazed at how clear and easy they are to use. Here's some massive schools of shad that were everywhere a couple weeks ago. A couple shots from spots where I picked up fish last week. I have the 93SV, which is cheap for what it is, but you can get much more affordable units that do the same thing that are just smaller.
  23. Geez, when did I become an old timer?? 3" slugO is a killer dropshot bait, or just on a little jighead for bass and crappie. The bigger versions were deadly too.
  24. I make one that's a blaze orange skirt, orange head, and orange blade, it catches fish.
  25. Welcome!
