  1. That's where I go for my info when I'm heading to the Rock. Guides that have fished that lake for 20-30 years post detailed reports. I can tell you what I do when I'm down there, but I can't touch what someone who fishes it every day can tell you. It's just getting to the best time of year to be down there IMO.
  2. The first two times I fished with Vanish in a tournament it cost me money fish, never again.
  3. Never fished them, but if I was going to, this would be a good place to figure out how.
  4. Welcome to the nuthouse. I was at Kill Creek for 30 minutes Wednesday and saw 1 trout get caught, very little fish activity on the surface either. They did just stock more Friday though so now would be a good time to go. I didn't fish for trout much but I caught 4 bass on a jerkbait.
  5. I have supertuned greenies that will outcast most any new, stock reel. They're one of the best workhorse reels there ever was.
  6. Harold Ensley was probably the nicest guy I've ever met that had his own fishing show. He used to be at the Sportshow every year and every year I'd talk his ear off (I talked to him for over an hour the first year I met him when I was 6). He remembered me every year and talked like we were old friends despite close to a century apart in age.
  7. Savage Gear makes a great baby bass imitator and is also very affordable.
  8. I was a "Big" for a year and almost every week my "Little" Ernest and I would go fishing together. He was a very bright kid, probably smarter than I was/am and really loved getting to be in the outdoors, something he didn't get to do much living in the inner city. It was a great experience and I was even the volunteer of the year for the area that year. Taking kids fishing is one of the most rewarding things you can do that relate to the sport IMO.
  9. DSing live crawlers is a failsafe technique for the guides on Table Rock during the heat of the summer. Great for beginners, because you catch EVERYTHING.
  10. Welcome!

  12. It would take me 3 games to match your "worst" score.
