Wanna Do Some Super Ultra Lite Panfishing?
i love fishing for bluegill when the bass bite isnt exactly on. Love it on my fly rod, also my UL trout rod. I usually use very small strike indicators (basically a fly fishing bobber for nymphing) i need to do some bluegill fishing soon, thanks for reminding me how much fun it is!

Bass Won't Take My Jig
I bought 2 jigs a couple months ago, black and blue, and a green pumpkin one both 3/8 oz. I put on a matching color zoom chunk trailer ( should i not use a trailer?). When ever i fish this think at my lake i just don't get anything, then i put on a baby craw or trick worm and nail them. Could it be that maybe i should downsize my jig? i think strike king makes a bitsy jig like a finesse jig. maybe the bass are intimidated by it. haha has anyone else fished somewhere where they just cant get a bite on a jig?

A Little Help From My Friends..
my favorite type of fishing is finesse. Im no pro but what i did to get good at it is put a little worm on a shakey head and play around with it in like 2 ft of water so you can see how little it take to move it, plus moving it slower can keep it in the strike zone longer. keep it slow, if your not catching fish youre not fishing slow enough atleast thats how i was taught and i think its a good thing to go buy. and on the abu spinning reels i love them. i have a cardinal, not for bass but for trout. nice little durable reels i couldnt imagine what their higher end reels are like. good luck on you finesse fishing quest.

Fishing The 3 Rivers (Pgh)
i live like 10 mintues away from the 3 rivers and i never fish them. mostly because i dont have boat access but i just got a canoe. I usually bank fish at nevilles island and the emsworth lock. I heard the smallmouth fishing is mediocre. But alot of people say you can catch a couple 15+ inchers in a day if you fish the right spots. Regardless smallmouth fight good no matter how big so i dont honestly care right now. I know the rivers all so have some big saugeye, walleye, and carp + catfish. if anyone wants to share some info on some good spots that'd be awesome.

Catching Pre-Spawn/spawn Smallies
thanks. My dad said his overall most productive lure for smallies was a rapala original floater as you stated works well

Baby Brush Hog Hooks
you just go straight down the plastic and leave to hook exposed, or atleast thats how i would rig them with a straight shank hook. But i always use EWG, never had a problem with hook up percentage.

Catching Pre-Spawn/spawn Smallies
Hey im making a trip up to a couple rivers/streams to do some smallmouth fishing this weekend. On either slippery rock creek or mahonning creek. Slippery rock creek is a small stream, ranging from 5-15 ft deep on average. Alot of rocks, rapids, and pocket waters. Mahonning is a shallower probably about 2-10 ft deep on average. About 70 yards wide with some fast moving water and slow stretches. i have never fished pre-spawn-spawn smallies. What are there patterns? do they move up shallow? what lures are best? i know pre spawn are very aggressive. thanks for the help
