  1. Congratulations!!!!!
  2. They are all great. I think the green sunfish would be a killer one for me where I fish.

They all look great to me!!!!! Nice job!
  4. I have heard in the past that thieves target fishing gear because they can sell it and there is no real way to track it. I think the high end rod and reel manufacturers should engrave serial numbers on their products, so the consumers could register them and they could be tracked if they are sold at flea markets or on Craigslist. Heck even if they put in some type of micro chip like they do for dogs, so the numbers could not be physically altered in any way. Might be a good idea.
  5. That video was awesome, thanks for sharing! I am excited to try this method out on my local ponds. Bring on the heat to thaw them out! Thanks again everyone!!!
  6. Sorry to hear about your loss!
  7. Great thank you both. I am not offended by your google link. I asked for help and you are helping me! I am not much of a worm fisherman and want to learn, so I am not familiar with everything yet. That helps a lot. Thanks again!
  8. I went to Bass Pro during my lunch break today and picked up some "Flick'n Shimmy" worms. I also bought the "flick'n shimmy" jig heads to go with them. I happened to see them in this week's flyer, so I thought I would give them a try for some shakey head fishing. The product description says: "Perfected in Japan, flick'n is a hot new variation on shaky head and wacky style fishing. There are two key aspects to this deadly, mostly vertical technique: the use of specially designed, super-soft pre-curved worm baits, and an emphasis on drop action. The ends of the ''bent'' worm wave wildly (like live tentacles) on the fall; simply ''flick'' the rod tip slightly to vary the action." I tried looking up "Flick'n", but cannot find anything on it. Does anyone know anything about this type of fishing? Thanks in advance! Chuck
  9. BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!! ;D That is all I am going to say to keep myself out of trouble. :-X
  10. Yes, we have a really good ad blocking software at work. I guess I will have to wait and see everyone's pics when I am at home.

  14. Being new to this forum, I just saw this thread today for the first time. Here is my first pic. It is a pic of the Sanibel Island lighthouse in FL.
  15. This forum seems to be set up like other forums I am on and you have to be set up through photobucket or some other online photo sharing site. I can see pics through the other forums here at work, but for some reason, not on this one. It is weird. I thought maybe there was a filter through the forum I needed to change.
  16. Have a question and I am not sure if it is something that can be solved. During these slow times at work I am on this forum a lot of the day reading the different posts. My issue is that I am not able to see any pics people post right in the message body. I hav no idea that there are even pics in the message. I also do not see any of the avatars. I can see them just fine at home, but don't always have enough time to go through the threads at home as I am busy with my 3 kids. Is there something I need to add to my computer to be able to see the pics or is it something that my company blocked? I am asking because I am on other forums and I have no issues at all. Thanks for your help! Chuck
  17. Those are awesome too! Looks like an ad out of a magazine. I will have to take some and post them up here.
  18. Great topic and great pic. I am not a professsional photographer by any means. I have a simple point and shoot camera. I took a pic of my new reel to show a coworker and it got me thinking about making a still life set up with some fishing gear. I think it would be cool to do since I enjoy taking pics and I enjoy fishing. Please share all of your fishing gear pics. Keep up the great work!

  20. I usually base my new lure purchases off of the reviews it receives. There are a lot of good looking lures on the market, but they all don't work as well as they look. Price does play a part in my selection. I refuse to pay over $20 for a cranbait that I might have a good chance of losing on a bad cast.

I live on a corner, so I only have one neighbor. I couldn't have asked for better neighbors. They are very friendly and very generous. We help each other out all the time. Back in May my wife gave birth to our son. The day we came home from the hospital, my neighbor was cutting my grass. He later told me he has a new appreciation for his yard. It takes me close to 2 hours to cut my grass and it takes him maybe an hour to do his. Him and his wife are just awesome. I am happy to be their neighbor.
  22. Thanks for this thread! I am looking to try shakey head this year myself. Good info to know. Thanks again!
  23. I did a search, but did not find anything, so I am starting this thread. Does anyone have a new years fishing resolution? Each year I try to learn something new about fishing. Last year I decided I wanted to learn how to use a baitcaster and now I own 5 of them. This year I want to really learn how to effectively fish with a worm. I am usually one of those guys that likes to cast and reel and cast and reel all day long. I use a lot of crank baits, swimbaits and jigheads with twister tails. I really want to have the patience and learn how to correctly fish with a worm whether it be Texas rigged, wacky, or shakey head. Does anyone have anything they would like to learn this year? Plus any tip to help me achieve my goal are greatly appreciated. Thanks! Chuck
