  1. I use mini cranks all the time. I have the Bass Pro Tourney Special Micro Light Mini Crankbaits that are 1 3/8" and are only 1/6 oz. I use an Abu Garcia Stamina SE 5'6" UL rod with 6lb test. I think the light line and the ultralight rod work great for the small cranks! Plus when a bass grabs them, it puts up one heck of a fight.
  2. Good afternoon everyone! I got out today during my lunchtime to try out a new pond. I was able to catch 3 little guys and lost another. I caught them all with a chartreuse and black beetle spin. It felt good to get out and actually catch more than one fish. I have been out about 12 times this year and now my count total is up to 6. I don't get much time to go out, so I am only out for about an hour or two at the most. Sorry, no pics, as I don't think they were picture worthy. Thanks for looking and good luck to everyone!
  3. Get it checked out. Better to deal with it now than have issues the rest of your life.
  4. I live in IL and caught this last year: It is possible a turtle grabbed it. I was swimming a curly tail grub when this guy came from out of nowhere and grabbed it.
  5. Man, that is awesome!!!!
  6. LOL! That was hilarious!
  7. I remember one time Walmart had an item for less money online than at the store. We called the store and asked if they would match the price and they told us no. They do have free site to store shipping, so why no order the stuff online and have it shipped to the store for free. The guy told me that they are actually trying to encourage people to shop online. It did not make any sense to me at all. Same thing with Verizon. I had the girl tell me I get better deals online than at the store, so I was better off buying a new phone online. I guess these people have never heard of job security.

Today is my first day back to work since the new format has taken effect. My issue is the google ads on the right side of the screen. I have a smaller screen at work and the ads interfere with the posts. They block half of the posts. Is there anything I can do to change this? Thanks!
  12. Ya, but the eggs taste the best!!!!!
  13. Congrats! Newfies are awesome dogs. I don't own one myself, but know a few people that do have them. Great family dog!
  14. You can always cut and paste that 14 digit password. That is what I did and it worked fine.
  15. My mom has had it done a couple of times. It was no big deal for her. Good Luck!
  16. Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs are the best! I cannot even tell you how many I have eaten so far this season. After Easter, I go around to a bunch of stores and buy them at half price.
  17. I am on CLF as Fishin'fanatic77. This topic looks all too familiar. GO CUBS!!!!!!!!
  18. I like using the BPS Tourney Special Micro-Light crankbaits. They are 1 3/8" and weigh 1/6 oz. The bass hit them like crazy and so do the bluegills. They are fun to use, obviously on an Ultralight set up.
  19. I have a couple of stories that come to mind while fishing in Canada. I was 19 and it was my first time going to Canada back in 1996. I had hooked into a pike on the second day there. It was heavy and hard to pull in, so I thought it was huge. I got it to the boat and it was just covered in mud. I had seen nothing like it before or after for that matter. I grabbed it behind the head and brought it up to the boat. I was not able to find my pliers, so stupid me set the northern down in the bottom of the boat. That thing started thrashing and threw mud all over me and my boat buddy. My boat buddy was not too happy with me at the time. It was a quick lesson learned. The next year I had gone up and had a different boat buddy. This guy had a huge red and white musky prop bait tied on a baitcaster. I was the one driving the boat because it was his first time up there, so when we would move to a different area, he would take out this set up and throw it out and let it run while we were moving. This one time, I don't know exactly what happened, but I heard a splash and then some cussing. His rod and reel had gone for a swim. Luckily it was a topwater lure, so we were able to go and grab that, but he had left the spool disengaged. We sat there as he had to take up his whole spool of line to get back his rod and reel. Funny for me, but not so funny for him.
  20. Awesome Job! I can only imagine how great it felt to catch those hawgs.
  21. I have a couple of them that a buddy of mine sent to me for Xmas. I tied one on and was casting it to check out the action on it. It is a pretty darn cool jig. I really think it has great potential to catch some hawgs.
  22. Oh man! That is hilarious. Serves her right for being so snooty! ;D ;D ;D
  23. Congrats and good luck! We all expect to see pictures of your little darling once she arrives.
  24. I have caught 2 bass so far this season and I got them both on Rat-L-Traps. I fish small ponds too and have been throwing a lot of things at them, but the trap seems to work the best so far for me.
