So What Do You Think Of Berkley's New Havoc Line Of Baits?
I have had really good luck with the grass pigs. They work great, but the soft plastic tears easily. Cannot beat it though for $2.99/bag.

Best Frog
I bought a pack of the pad daddy frogs and I cannot wait to try them out. I have one rigged up and in my car, just waiting for the next time I go out. Hollow body frogs, like the scum frogs. I throw them in some of the thickest slop and they work great. They are really soft and my hook up ratio soared one I started using these.

Berkley Havoc Grass Pig
Has anyone tried these? I bought a pack in the white pearl and rigged it with a BPS 5/0 1/8 oz swimbait hook. These things are deadly. If you have not used them yet, I highly recommend them. Plus, you cannot beat the price of $2.99/6 pack. These are my new favorite swim baits.

Wanna Do Some Super Ultra Lite Panfishing?
Bluegill fishing is the best because every so often you hook into a bass. A couple of summers back I was fishing with my then 4 year old daughter and I had a bluegill on the line and a bass nailed it. I wound up catching the bass instead. It was fun fighting that thing on 2 lb test. Thanks for the reminder!

Cubs Vs Sox
The feeling is mutual with the Sox fans!

Cubs Vs Sox
My whole point is that Jigfishn expressed he wanted to go to a Cubs game before he died. CKFishin decided to chime in and rip on the Cubs. Why is it that someone cannot make a comment about the Cubs without someone else ripping on them. I have seen other people post things about other teams and no one says a word, but someone always has something to say about the Cubs. I know I said it in a weird way, but that was the point I was trying to convey.

Cubs Vs Sox
Here we go! Everyone likes to pick on the Cubbies. I think everyone is just jealous because the Cubs have such a huge fan base throughout the U.S. as opposed to their teams. Everyone cares about how bad the Cubs are doing as opposed to their own team. I work with both Sox and Cardinal fans and they can tell me the score of the Cubs game at any given point. If the Cubs are so bad, then why do they waste their time worrying about their games? I am a die hard Cubs fan and I don't really care how the Sox or Cardinals are doing unless they are playing th Cubs. I see the Sox and Cardinal fans with no class wearing shirts blasting the Cubs. You never see that kind of childish merchandise sold around Wrigley. I would rather buy a Cubs shirt than a shirt blasting a rival. Stop being so jealous of the Cubs and worry about your own team for a change. If the Cubs are playing your team, then it's a different story because chances are your team will beat the Cubs. That's right leave the trash talking to the actual Cubs fan. We know how bad our team is.

Why Is Bass Fishing So Addicting?
The adrenaline rush when fishing topwater with a frog in slop and a big ole momma just explodes on the thing is just outstanding. Like others have said, putting all of the pieces of the puzzle together and catching one, you know you are doing something right. I love sharing my knowledge of fishing with others and seeing them succeed. I like watching others catch bass as well as catching bass myself. I especially like it when they catch a bass using a lure or technique I told them about. It is also about camaraderie of fellow bass fishermen. People don't seem to understand us. They don't get why when we catch a huge bass, we just throw it back and let it live. We also keep this economy going just because of our quest of catching a hawg. Billions of dollars are spent each year all in the name of bass fishing. The best part of bass fishing is just getting away from our world for a bit and concentrating on bass fishing in the great outdoors. Ok, I think I am done now.

Never Smirk At Your Buddy's Lure Choice
Usually it is the odd baits that get the bites. The bass are not used to seeing them, so they will hit them.

5/12-Lunchtime Fishing
Thanks guys! If you can tell by the pics, I can stand to shed a few pounds as well. I was surprised about that crappie especially since it had inhaled my whole crankbait. Weather here turned horrible, so it may be a bit before I can get out again. Thanks again! Good luck to everyone! Chuck

5/12-Lunchtime Fishing
Hello everyone! I wanted to share with you all my lunchtime outing today. There is a pond that is about 5 minutes away from my work that I like to fish. I have been there 3 times this week with some pretty good results. I was with a coworker today and I nailed a couple of fish that I was proud to catch in the 45 minutes we were out there. One of my favorite things to throw is a BPS Lazer Eye Nitro The Egg in chrome shad. This thing seems to really do great for me. I was throwing it today and felt a fish nail it. I thought it was going to be a typical 13" bass like I have been catching out of there all week. Instead I was surprised when I landed this: I could not believe it was a crappie and that he had the whole crankbait in his mouth. This was the biggest crappie I have ever caught. A few minutes later I had hooked into something that was really putting up a fight. The past couple of days, the carp have been going crazy in the shallows, so I assumed I had snagged one of them. I was ecstatic when I landed this pig: I don't carry a scale or tape measure with me, so I have no idea exactly how big she was, but my coworker said she looked to be about 3 lbs. He is a tournament director and has weighed a bunch of fish, so I am going to go with what he said. I usually do not have such a great outing with two huge fish. Huge fish for our area that is. Those were the only two fish I caught today. My coworker only wound up catching one. When it was time to go back to work, I was not able to concentrate for the rest of the day. Good thing we are slow. I just felt like bragging a little bit. Thanks for looking and good luck to everyone! Chuck

Single Tail Grub
One of my all time favorite baits. People have laughed at me for sing them only for me to outfish them by quite a bit. My favorite is the 3" BPS triple ripple grub in baby bass. It is killer!

Cold And Windy Afternoon!
Hello everyone! I managed to get out and hit my subdivision ponds for about 2 hours this afternoon. It was cold and windy out there. The temp got to about 50, but it felt much colder than that with the wind. I actually had to put on gloves. I was able to get two today, both on a natural crawfish Rat-L-Trap. The first one I caught was maybe 13"-14" and the second one was probably about 16"-17". I don't carry a tape measure or a scale with me, so I am just guessing on the sizes. Here is a pic of the second one. All in all the two fish I caught made up for a cold and crummy day. Thanks for looking! Tight Lines! Chuck

Dreams And Fishing
Every so often I have dreams about fishing. I have these dreams where the water is crystal clear and I can see every single fish in the lake. I throw my lure in the lake to catch a bass and I always seem to catch these huge weird looking fish. Fish I have never seen before, so I don't even know if they are even real fish.

4/11-Lunchtime Fishing
I got out again during my lunch break. Today I caught 7 dinks. Six of them were on the same Beetlespin and the other was on a crawfish pattern Rat-L-Trap. Again, it felt really good to get out and start catching fish.
