  1. WOW! That is a lot of money for a bait. For that price I would expect it to have a camera in the eyes and and to go after the fish. These look really nice. I need to get myself a couple of these: http://www.***.com/Koppers_Live_Target_Walking_Frog/descpage-KLTWKFR.html#multiview
  2. 1) Curly tail grubs in numerous colors 2) Storm swim shad in bluegill 3) Bass Pro Shops "The Egg" in chrome shad
  3. Curly tail grubs. I catch quite a few bass with them and they get chewed up quite a bit.
  4. Thanks guys! I am really enjoying this forum. Lots of great reading here!
  5. I just received a copy of "Bass In Depth" by Bob McNally for my birthday! I have heard a lot of good things about this book. Has anyone read this???
  6. Carlos, I use the same set up as you with the 1/32 oz jighead. What kind of float are you using if any? I use the Thill mini shy bite. They are small and really sensitive. I have found them to be one of the best on the market for bluegills. Also, when you bait your hook, make sure you are threading the bait on the hook instead of letting the bait hang off the hook, this way when they nibble on it, the hook comes with it. Mini cranks are a ton of fun. You should check those out sometime too. Bass Pro has a line of mini cranks and they work great!
  7. Cute dog and Great pic! I have 2 Dachsies and one stands up like that and the other one doesn't. My black and tan is too chubby to stand like that.
  8. Those are some awesome shots! Great job!
  9. Thank you guys!
  10. I have been fishing for about 30 years, but just recently got into bass fishing in the past couple of seasons. My favorite aspect is the rush of having a bass on the line and thinking it is a huge one. Also, nothing gets my blood pumping more than watching a bass strike a topwater lure. This tells me I am doing something right.
  11. Fishing used to bore me too. If I wasn't catching anything, I wanted no part of it. As I got older, I learned more about fishing and that it was not all about putting a worm on a hook and watching a bobber. I learned different techniques and had more fun fishing. My daughter is 6 and she is the same way I was. If She is not catching fish, she is bored and wants to go home. I cannot blame her because that is how I was back at that age too. If you force something on the kid chances are they might not enjoy it as much as if they like it on their own. Fishing is not for everyone and do not fault the people who do not like it. JMHO.
  12. Hello everyone! My name is Chuck Simon and I am new to this forum. I am 34 and have been fishing since I was 3, but I am fairly new to bass fishing. I enjoy learning and reading the tips from the seasoned pros. I look forward to this forum and meeting you and learning new things. Thanks!
