  1. For Matt's baits, I use either a Heavy or Extra Heavy, 7', 6" Kistler LTA Helium rod. I use the Okuma Heavy for my heavier swimbaits. Dan
  2. What Falcon and Infidel said . Dan
  3. T-rigged(forward) for me; 3/8 oz, screw-in, rattling, Gambler weight and a 4/0 GY Sugoi hook. Dan
  4. I'll take a guess as I have used and caught Bass with both. Size, detail, more colors, balance(the Bluegills will stand upright on their 'nose' when resting on the bottom), etc? Dan
  5. Very detailed report and you caught the heck out of them. It may be over-populated with small fish though......? Dan
  6. Chris: "True Dat!" At the small ponds I fish in, I kill the dinks as the owner has asked me to do that but never a 3 lb+ Bass. If a man needs to feed his family, then fine, keep some Bass but just not the bigger ones. Dan
  7. Same thing happened to me yesterday . 'Purty' Bass! Dan
  8. "8.4"= 8 lbs, 6.4 ounces or did you mean 8 lbs, 4 ounces? Nice Bass in any case! Dan
  9. Not sure if it's a # 2 but here it is: Except the one I have has a Colorado blade in front of the Willow. Dan
  10. Now that's a niceun young man! Dan
  11. Cold Bass and Jigs; good combo! Dan
  12. HOLY MOLY but that's some CATCHIN'!!! WTG FB! Y'all had a huge sack for sure 8-). Dan
  13. SS: Great Bass and those PCs have been good to me too. Get a scale . Dan
  14. Yowsuh!!! GREAT catchin' Matt!!! Dan
  15. Thanks y'all. It was decent 4 hours especially after hooking that 5 lber just before I left. My former boss keeps the banks clean around that smaller pond while on the lower, larger pond, you can only fish the dam from the bank but it's big enough to put my little boat in. I do enjoy 'working' from the bank too . Dan
  16. On that same KVD spinnerbait I caught the two others on back on the 15th. I got there at 10:30 and walked the banks, catching 5 or 6 dinks, 1 lbers, and a 2 lber on a wacky-rigged 5" Senko. Tried T-rigged GY lizard, swimbait, KVD's spinnbait, and a crankbait but had no bites except on the Senko until I returned to the dam. Threw the spinnerbait into the shallow water in the opposite corner from the 15th and felt the lightest of 'ticks', set the hook and then saw the nice 5 lber. She had inhaled the bait and got stuck by both hooks. Dan
  17. Just don't put more then ONE TINY drop of oil on the bearings. Too much oil will slow the spool down.... Dan
  18. Here's how I rigged mine: Dan
  19. Persistence pays off......sometimes . Good luck! Dan
  20. Good crankbait catchin'! Dan
  21. Changed my mind and made the trip up to the new, Macon BPS and got a Rapala scale, another spinnerbait identical to that one and a tackle box. Thanks again for the 'looks' and the nice comments. Hope to go back there(and the PFA too) when this windy, cold weather changes next week. Dan
  22. Great catchin' Mike! Gorgeous Bass for sure! Dan
  23. Y'all done good! 8-) Dan
  24. Thankee, thankee ! Turns out it wasn't the battery as the 'old' battery had 8.98 volts in a 9v battery and a new battery made no difference so it's the scale itself >. Going to WM and get a replacement tomorrow. Dan
