Meh just me Vs a ‘99 F150 @ 50 mph. shattered my pelvis, broke my neck, ruptured liver, kidney, spleen, right lung collapsed plus the TBI. I bounced back fast though was right back in the truck doing it all again few months it happened November 13 I was back to work end of March. It wasn’t THAT bad I totaled a Ford with my body lol

Been bouncing around used to be a teachers aide at a tech school, fiberglass technician, tow truck driver that made the news haha, then retail in the fishing and hunting department, detailed cars and now 3 days ago I started as a armored car guard which hopefully sticks I’ve been bored everywhere else but towing but we all know how that went and family doesn’t want me back doing that.

My fiancé said the same thing haha.

My county had the civil service test for the county sheriffs a month ago. I had full intentions of taking it as it’s something I wanted to do even with the way the world is towards them today. Talked with a county sheriff about it while I was at work selling him a gun since I worked at the gun counter at a local sporting goods store. I never took the test because I couldn’t pass the physical part because of my accident 2 years ago. Running and the plate holding my pelvis together don’t mix. from what I read they had record low turn out need I think 5 new sheriffs for the county and every town with a force is looking for 2-3 new also. I think I saw and heard only like 9 applied for the test. On all the local FB news pages about it there was a ton of hate for it people saying it’s not worth it knowing no one likes the police and blah blah blah. If they offer another test I may look into it again see if there’s a profile or something like the military has for PT since I can’t run but the rest the test I could pass easily.

Yeah I grew up in the wrong era being a car guy. The fast and furious franchise was big when I turned 16 soooooooo yeah lol. Closest I’ve been to a muscle car was kinda far from it other than name and the engine I put in it. Shortly after college I picked up a ‘89 camaro rs on my lunch break while working in a shop. Was out test driving a car I just did something on I don’t remember but saw the camaro up the road from the shop with a for sale sign on it. Ran down on my lunch break and talked to the guy who was selling it on his son as a punishment for poor grades and horsing around in it kissing the bridge with it explaining the miss matched fender and hood plus the bumper held together with sheet metal and rivets. Gave him $600 for it and drove it to the shop. I went to college for auto body after the first 3 months switched to automotive because I thought it was cooler to make cars go fast rather than look pretty. During the engines portion I built a 383 stroker with a kit out of summit I think it was and a junkyard 350. Never put it in a car till I got my skittles camaro I called it having different colored panels. My boss had a transmission for it and we spent a weekend swapping it out and welding braces into the “frame” being it was a unibody camaro. Was my sleeper car left all the V6 badges on it and mismatched body panels with the one wheel peel. Never did put it on the road just took the plates of my Mazda 626 at the time and put it on the camaro to go do burn outs infront of friends houses. Kept it for a year got bored with it while building a 240sx and ended up trading it for a paintball gun.....yeah....

Anyone here ever have one back in the day or have one now? I love the ‘70 and ‘71 and would sell a kidney for one haha. My father and I built a model of one when I was younger and we were doing models on my weekends with him. It’s always been the one I wanted of all the cars we’ve done models of. On FB market place a ‘70 Buick GSX popped up same color scheme and everything of the model GTX and got my head going wanting a old muscle car.

The rod .ghoti. Donated to me a few years ago for being a Veteran was spiral wrapped and it peaked my interest. Now I spiral wrap all my rods I build for myself. I don’t know if I notice a difference or anything I just do it because it looks cool and different haha.

I’ve got a buddy asking me to repair his guides on his 7’6 heavy fantasista rod. Wondering if anyone knows what size the tip top is and 2nd and 3rd from bottom are so I can order the replacements before getting the rod next week to fix

Ive got the vedder rapid tuck that I use the most for my 365. I’ve also got a versa and alien gear plus a mft for it. I use the vedder the most. The alien gear is the appendix holster from them but the gun prints bad with it so I don’t even use it anymore though it’s got the best retention of all the holsters for the sig.

I carry while out in my kayak thought trying to figure out how to do it comfortably. I just got my permit in November so this is my first season carrying. My edc is the p365 appendix is how I carry normally but in the kayak that’s incredibly uncomfortable. Today while out I took my LCP II it fits nicely in my pocket but it’s also only a 22. When I was at the range today they had a rental sig p238 I was looking at and considering one for carry while kayaking it fit in my pocket nicely for being just a tad smaller than the 365.

Only way I hunt ducks. I target divers usually went for puddle ducks the only time I made it out this past season due to work schedule and just a little ammo left from last season. Got a 5 year old banded black duck which was awesome.

Finally got my first fish of 2021 last night been out 3 times so far in Lake Ontario tributaries here in orleans/Monroe counties. With the lake being down 2’ it’s been tough but not terrible. First trip out I hit Johnson’s since I grew up on that river I seem to always hit it first. Last word trips I’ve gone to sandy next to Hamlin beach. Sunday had a ton of hits and only one hookup surprisingly it was a smallie I thought it was a pike since they were mostly quick 1...2...3 strikes like pike tend to do and it was kinda fighting like a pike but once up to the yak could see it was a 15” or so smallie. Hook pulled when tried to lift into the yak so didn’t touch it so doesn’t count. Last night went out again same spot and two casts apart at the mouth of the lake I got 2 with the 2nd being my PB I didn’t have a scale and only my buddies tape measure. She was a little longer than the widest part of the yak at 21” figured about 5.5-6lbs. water temps half mile in from Ontario were at 62* last night after work about 6pm at the mouth of the lake I was getting 47-49* depending on what side of the channel I was in

Great hip bothers me a little with the weather changes but other than that you would never know I got hit by a F150 unless I told ya. Almost went back to towing again I quit last May after getting clipped by a mirror lightly but 9 months working retail I was looking for something else and posted on FB I was thinking bout towing again got 3 job offers from local shops. Was considering it but got a offer to detail cars for a collision shop I dropped at for towing that paid more and was safe so been doing that for the last week.

Sig P365 in a vedder holster. I’ve “upgraded” the trigger in it I put the trigger out of the 365XL in it so it’s got the flat trigger. I shoot it every week I’ve stocked on ammo and even the way things are now with ammo I could shoot my 1 box a week for 2 years if I never bought more in that time.

I do hand load for my rifles not the pistols yet dies are on their way should be here tomorrow or Tuesday. Just ordered the dies for the 9 and 45.

I’ve been tossing the idea of getting a 10mm 1911 found a few on gun broker with buy it now option not outrageous priced. the ammo is the only thing holding me back at this point. I’ve got plenty of ammo to stick with 9 or 45 but I want a 10 now. on the subject of acquiring hand guns in in the great state of NY. Permits are issued by county some better than others on getting it. Luckily I’m in a very pro 2A county I applied for my permit during this pandemic and it took 2months 2 days to get it. We have to get a “coupon” to pick up the pistols and have it added to our permits. My county gives them to us blank and we have 10 days to mail in the amendment with $5 to get it added to our permit. Other counties gotta mail in a receipt that you bought the gun with all the info on it and wait for a coupon to go pick it up. There’s only one other county that does the blank coupons besides mine that I know of the rest are all by mail or appointment only. we still have to do a 4473(background check) with every gun we buy it doesn’t matter if it’s even the same day. Buy one in the morning and go back 10 minutes later and buy another you gotta do another check. Some times there instant other times it’s days. I work in a gun shop doing the gun sales and checks all day when we get our gun shipments in.

Picked up my 1911 tonight already changed the spring. I grabbed two Pro mags for it but returning them tomorrow they wouldn’t function once loaded they wouldn’t fit in the mag well. headed to the range Thursday on my day off to get some shots through it. Figured 100rnds to break it for first time should be good since I grabbed 100 rnds today with the gun.

We had a Sig scorpion version for the longest time I was gonna get that one a few months ago and when I finally said I was gonna get it after seeing it everyday and no one showed interest in it sold that day before I could get it on my lunch break. Tends to happen a lot I show interest in a gun or even gun cases or reels they sell that day. Kinda why I put the rock island on layaway so fast

Been wanting a 1911 for ever I just put the rock island 1911 GI on layaway where I work. We have a kimber and a Remington but went with the rock island for my first one. The kimbers are nice looking but it will live in a holster or safe not to be seen. The Remington is half the price of the kimber and the grip is crazy uncomfortable but the trigger is the nicest of the 3. The rock island just came in Friday so I snagged one up after shooting my buddies. Now to start stocking up on ammo for another caliber in today’s market. I’m sure ill Be getting another 1911 but starting with the cheaper one.

I’m just starting to get into reloading hopefully get some loads worked up soon just waiting on dies that are sitting in a hub to be delivered. Once the dies and neck bushing come in I’ll have everything for the 20practical and 17hornet. The load is already set for my 20practical from when we built it a few years ago but the 17hornet I gotta work something out. I’ll do the 243 and 308 once I get large rifle primers but with things nowadays who knows when that will be.

We have them at our shop the 365Tacpac it comes with 3 mags all with the pinky extension a hard carry case and a holster. We list them for $599.99 can’t keep em on the shelves. I get a employee discount the sig after taxes and everything ran me $519 for the tac pac. I’ve seen prices at other local shops and they are outrageous for any gun and ammo lately. Part of working for a big chain store we can’t jack prices. Some guns have gone up but not much the ruger LCPII I bought a day late because the price went up $16 the day before I bought it lol
