Old revolver
It’s 5.99 a tray of 100 at one shop and 7.99 at another but they never have any other than 209 shotshell or 209ML. Powder is around $40lb don’t look at gunbroker if $60/1000 is to high for ya. When I was working at the one shop had a customer show me his gunbroker listings he was selling his bricks of primers for $500 and he wanted to buy the brick we had for $40 I laughed and declined to sell him what we had just to flip it management stood behind my decision and we put the 2 tray limit in place to keep people from doing that. I’m good on powder not to worried bout that but if I start doing 45lc or even my 45/70 I’m sure my pistol powders will go quicker but at 4.7gr of tite group my lb of it will last a bit and I think cfe pistol is a little more of a charge but not much I’ve got a lb of that also unopened.

Yeah the one shop gets a shipment every Monday and it goes out Tuesday and is gone usually by end of day with the 2 100pc box limit on primers. Inside scoop told me the days and the 2 times I went they didn’t have any there were none on the truck those weeks. Then this past week I went for something else and asked and they said they normally see some every week but during the two snow storm weeks nothing and that I had missed that weeks stocking. So now I have to buckle down and just go after work on Tuesdays it’s only 15minutes from work but in opposite direction then home. Calling them is always hit or miss it’s usually a quick “nope” or “idk if they were on the truck this week we’re putting stuff out now so maybe” never been a definite “yes we have some” when I worked closer I would swing in on lunch break and get them usually. I tried this re priming method and I’m at 100% success with it but it’s very very very time consuming and doesn’t seem as clean burning I guess it would be even though same powder(titegroup) would smoke after firing nothing bad just make the lane Smokey at shooting position after each mag.

I do reload currently mostly for my rifles 243,17hornet, 20practical, 308. I do load for my 45acp because ammo for that is next to impossible at times but I had key word HAD 2000 pistol primers but after my last loading day I took a count of what I have left and down to only 150 large pistol and 500 small. All my blazer brass is small primer so I’ll probably start doing them up when I burn through what ive got loaded waiting.

Old revolver
Been tossing around the idea of getting a Schofield. Wish I would just did it before prices got crazy and ammo next to impossible to find. it’s one the guns I just “want” maybe use it to hunt with if I ever get back into deer hunting but I’ve already got 2 pistols I want to take a deer with just no drive to sit in a stand. I kinda only get guns that I will use not really a collector of safe queens though I do have a a few but they were hand me downs. That’s where I’m at about the Schofield is will I actually shoot it often. I go to the range every week and shoot my pistols occasionally take a rifle but most my rifles are precision tack drivers and with a 25yard max at the indoor range I tend to just take the pistols. anyone here have a Schofield or experience with them? If I do get one I’ll get one in 45lc

Getting back in shape
I need to get back “in shape” but I joke all the time I’m in shape…round is a shape….haha. last year my fiancé and I did this diet program and dropped quite a bit both of us did and felt really good. We couldn’t afford it anymore the meal plans they sold but it could easily be done without paying for “their” food. The coach for the program even told us that but keeping that thought at the grocery store and then kitchen got lost in translation. I’m back around 200-205 range idk I don’t step on the scale I just know this is the size I was when started said diet and that’s what I weighed when started. I’d rather be around the 175 range(I’m only 5’8) that’s the weight I was when active duty and when I woke up from coma on that feeding tube diet. Growing up I was way smaller I won’t ever get to my college pre marriage weight(140) and don’t want to. I ate like a true fatty back then but wasn’t. Everything was deep fried and only liquid I drank was beer or vodka. I was a lot more active then though then marriage happened then joined the army(yeah did it backwards college first then the army)

Your Total Years
My dad has pics and stories of me fishing with him from a stroller at like a year old with a snoopy pole tucked into the stroller with me so he could fish the creek that went along our yard while my mom was at work. I guess when pregnant with me my mom would be fishing with him in his boat so in a sense been fishing sense conception haha. Been fishing my entire life used to walk “home” from school and fish that same creek that also ran along school property and knew when the street lights came on get my butt home. even a deployment I fished the year I was in country as we were ripping with the unit we just got on base and the guys we were replacing came around asking if anyone liked fishing and everyone started yelling “George” to get my attention haha. Bought the gear off them and fished off the pier at Kuwait navel base getting needlefish, queen fish, strawberry groupers a couple sharks and other fish I have no idea what they were but became bait in the end. bass were always my prime focus but was kinda just see what ever bites usually it was smallies and bull head from flipping over rocks to catch craw then using them as bait. Started to be serious about bass maybe for 15 years now and I’m 35.

The mighty small P365
I picked one up when I first got my permit it was my first personally owned pistol and a birthday present to myself. Soon as I got it I bought the flat trigger like the XL at the time has and now the X comes with it and the optic option. I love mine it’s my EDC for concealing. I don’t have a pocket holster for it though but I’ve got a bunch of others I’ve tried. Got the alien gear appendix holster but it prints so that one just sits on the shelf. MFT kydex not a big fan of, one it came with never used. Vedder rapid tuck was my go to for a while but now I use the hidden hybrid the most with the claw so it doesn’t print. Also have the versa element but not a fan of it either it’s very comfortable but can’t re holster if draw it heck it’s hard get it in the holster to start I’m sure with it being all leather it just takes some breaking in but I’m to lazy to do that when the hidden hybrid and others are good to go.

are you still going to use PayPal?
I use PayPal to send my fiancé money when I’m at work or away. Fastest and easiest way I’ve found if she gets ahold of me needing money for what ever I just PayPal myself the funds with one card to myself and transfer it to a card she has. Since I’ve got two PayPal’s I just send it to myself.

Selling a Mosin
Back in the good old days. Was talking bout it today when at the shop and range I had a brick of Remington lighting 22lr still had a tag on it from probably 25 years ago $4.99 for a brick of 500.

S & W EZ pistol
Another +1 for the 365 I’ve got one it’s my EDC. I carry the 320 full size more now being my duty gun so it seems off calling the 365 Every Day Carry since I don’t carry it daily anymore having a duty gun. I've also got a LCP2 that’s my pocket carry gun for when I don’t take the 365 usually when in my kayak or coyote hunting.

Selling a Mosin
That’s like most of not all guns now I was just at the shop/range talking bout this and he said SKSs are way up there now also which is crazy. Just looked at sks quick for Chinese type 56 buy it now prices are $580. Not as high as I was expecting but still wayyyyy higher than they used to be

Selling a Mosin
Gun brokers an option and have a FFL transfer it. Could always take it to a shop that takes trade ins or does consignment. mosins go for stupid money now I remember when I got mine about 10 years ago my father in law at the time and I split it at $140 for the rifle so $70 each and that was a lot for what they used to cost. I just looked on gun broker when I saw this thread and they are selling for $500-1200 which is insane. I want one again since my now ex father in law has it but at the rates they are going for now I’ll never buy one at these prices.

S & W EZ pistol
Don’t personally own one but when I worked at the gun store we sold a good number of them soon as they came in usually to older folks and women. The husbands usually came in shortly after looking for one for themselves since they were nice.

Anyone else enjoy predator calling?
Preds are basically all I hunt other than ducks. Went “all out” and got a pulsar thermal scanner and pulsar thermal scope sank about $7k into just the optics but don’t mind since I go out a few times a week from start of season in October till it ends in March. Because of how the laws are set up here in NY for hunting I’ve got two guns set up for it my 20practical for counties that don’t allow rifles for deer so the 20p gets action till deer season ends then I switch to the 243. I tried up loading some pics of hunts and videos with the thermal but says to big of files.

Man, I'm lucky, because I was STUPID!!!!!
Lots of dumb stuff growing up driving way to fast(still do this though) we used to have our red rider BB guns and pace off then turn and shoot each other with them wearing carhartt jackets which then turned into air soft then paintball. drinking oh yeah like a fish in highschool could always tell where I parked at basketball games there would be a pile of cans left that I tossed under my car when done because I would go out and drink during halftime. never done any drugs though even to this day not even weed and drinking for the most part has stopped I still have whiskey once in a while but I only drink maybe once a month if that. I used to be wild though shocked I didn’t have kids at a much younger age if ya know what I mean haha. I made it through my teens and early twenties scratch free though lots of things I shouldn’t have walked away from but did. Wasn’t till my accident at work 3 years ago that I finally broke a bone and got injured but even that some how I’ve pulled out of and would never know I got hit by a truck and seriously injured. But used to drive fast like I said I’ve wrecked a lot of cars and wheelers and gotten into fights always walked away from it all with no injuries.

Compact 45 for EDC
I used to always like kimbers but working in the gun department at a sporting good store last year I got to see them all day everyday and heard a lot of horror stories about the new ones I’ve been turned off of the kimber name your paying for. They look nice and feel nice but for the price you pay for a kimber seems to come up short.

Compact 45 for EDC
Yeah my 320 was only $470 through this place that only does the first responders and military. Some how being a armed guard works for the first responder discount there and blue label at other places.

Compact 45 for EDC
Gonna see if one of the local dealers that only does sales to Law enforcement and military at blue label or sig app(I think that’s what sig calls there program) can order me a Sig 1911 fastback nightmare carry and what the price would be. One of my co workers just got a glock 19 optic ready from them and they told him they could order me anything when he asked if they could order a gun for me if they don’t have it in stock.

Compact 45 for EDC
Been tossing the idea around of getting another pistol like I always am but I really want a compact 45 of some sort. I’ve got a 1911 and the p320 full size in 45 as my duty gun but I want a compact for EDC off the clock to chose when I don’t feel like carrying the 365. trying to decide what one to look for I’m not a fan of glocks at all I like my sigs so I thought maybe a 320 compact or even the 1911 commander or officer models since there shorter. anyone EDC a 45? What did ya go with? being NY I’m limited to how many rounds my mag can hold which is why I went 45 for my duty gun over a 9 even though I’m exempt from the law for mag capacity while on the clock I’m supposed to leave the “hi” cap mags at work and it wasn’t worth the headache of trying to remember or the hassle of swapping when I clock in and out though from all the cops I’ve talked to while at work none would care if I had the hi cap mags off the clock.
