I'll be picking up the 'lawn care' deals here shortly.

I get the whole year in one shot.

Some of these deals are weather dependent (rain) and perform best when applied at the right time.

So having them 'on hand' offers max flexibility.

I'm planning on changing the oil and spark plugs in the yard machines this weekend.  I want to get this stuff done before the water warms up.

Hit 54* here today supposed to be single digits over weekend then slowly climb back up during the week then back down as far as my 10day forecast shows

No wonder your lawn looks so good.

 

I usually just do the weed n feed one and then a fall winterizer on my lawn.

Pretty sure the installed irrigation system play a pretty huge role.

Soil here is sandy and dries in Flash.

Setting the mower on highest cut to leave it long has been good too.

I set mine on a high setting too. Some of my neighbors scalp theirs. Like buzz cut style. Then it doesn’t rain and it turns to scorched earth. Never understood that.

When I remarried 24 yrs. ago I unexplainably became fascinated with landscape gardening. Winter months were spent reading library books, catalogs, and watching gardening shows. Of necessity I would make sure my tackle (then only two outfits) was ready for creek wading which didn't get going until the warmer months anyway. after about fifteen yrs. of this I finally came to my senses. These days high maintenance plantings have given way to pretty much carefree stuff and I'm not nearly as concerned about my lawn as I used to be. Life is good. To quote Richard Gene "Fishing is a sport that's second to none. Whooooo!"

I also 'Mow" the leaves in the fall right into the lawn-

You mean people actually use the bag that comes with a lawn mower?

 

I just toss it in the corner of the garage to rot away.

In about a month I’m going to be reaching out to the Bassresource grass experts. When the new how is complete I’ll be starting off with a clean slate as far as the lawn goes and will need the ins and outs. 

It is nice to see other members here enjoy gardening. I also enjoy gardening and grow many varieties of plants.
