Enough Trivia. Let's Discuss Something Really Important.
I just don't use ice period let alone drink pop(yeah it's pop I'm from WNY) but occasionally I will like when at the Inlaws because that's all they ever have and then it's right from the can warm as well no ice in anything.

Remington Express 870 Jamming
Iv used the same ones an the 870 is one of the most reliable shotguns out there I doubt it's the cheap ammo

Remington Express 870 Jamming
U could try but u said it's sticking in the chamber. Do the shells look normal once extracted or are they deformed or broken.
-
Remington Express 870 Jamming
That's odd very odd for a 870. Hasit been cleaned? It almost seems like the extraction claw is broke maybe or stuck. Half **** the weapon and feel the bolt face there should be like a hook that sits like maybe 1/8th inch forward of the bolt face. It catches the rim of the shell and pulls it out of the chamber when racked. That's the only thing I can really think of

Mom Does Not Support Career Choice
You sound like you got a good head on your shoulders and im sure u will pick up that "mechanical aptitude" it's not rocket science it can get complicated but as long as u can pay attention to detail you will be fine. Heck I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but when it comes to fixing and wrenching I'm borderline genius lol. Boces is a great time to figure out what's for you also. It's a free school for 2 years hands on training in a trade you pick. Like you found out already you worked with wood sense 7 now your applying it to jobs if anything like our schools building trades your probably building or remodeling a house. I'm guessing your not seeing yourself doing this as a career and diesel is looking more like you. Switch up take diesel next year if u like it ad see a future great run with it but at the same time if you get there and you say to your self hey this ain't for me either so what u haven't lost anything but the mornings of your senior year in highschool that most likely would be study hall anyways being your in boces anyways. Plus it's free I'd rather make the changes then rather then in trade school 30gs in the hole and realizing u just wasted a year of your life and a ton of money. It's an industry in highdemand there's tons of job listings for techs on all levels so you won't have a problem finding work. Also cat engines are in everything and you can work your way up and be the tech with there new F450 trucks going out to farms working on combines or running to the construction site getting the equipment or generators back up and running you name it sky's the limit.

Nice we rent other equipment well it's donated we don't rent but we get anything we need. My program and schools pretty small. Theres nothing wrong with morrisville or staying close to home. What direction did you want to take in the industry did you want to take the agricultural route, medium trucks, over the road, marine, generator, equipment operator. Do you have any idea what way u wanna take it. And why doesn't your mom approve of your change in heart what doesn't she approve of.

Morrisville is a great school I have a student there now I have buddy's that went there and the teacher I work under went there. Your only other option to stay in ny would be Alfred state. Both schools are a 2 year min and you have to take your normal math, english, and so on so be prepared for that. Cat also hires alot of people right from morrisville along with John deer two great company's to work for. Your possiblitys are endless with the field. Idk how the program is run at your center but we do engine tear downs both years jrs and srs have to completly tear down to every last nut and bolt do all measurements and put it back together and it has to turn over not run because some engines are just beat but all the parts are there but they must turn over one complete cycle(720*) on top of that we do welding and torching, machinery operation we have a dozzer, backhoe, tractor, brushhog. We also do diagnostic and tune up the senior year. There's alot more but I'd be here all night typin up the ciriculum. Also spend the 13 bucks or how ever much your center charges and go to skills USA it's worth the little investment iv got kids who got were offered 80% of there tuition knocked off for placing in the competition at the state and national level. Back on school choices after school don't rule out outa state it's a great experience and ny state sucks lol. Like stated UNOH is pretty much the leader in the industry and it's a heck of alot cheaper then most tech school and ur done in 14 months and in te field or you can add some extra classes and take it to 18mo.

Smart choice! What boces are you attending I'm a diesel/agricultural/ heavy equipment instructor at the Orleans/Niagara boces in medina. You have so many options taking this route as well I have kids on farms, working in labs for cummins and caterpillar, ford dealerships you name it heck even got one kid who works for carnival cruise ships maintaining the ships engines. He makes great money and sits on a cruise ship and gets paid for it! Also what schools are u looking at attending I can recomend a few and tell you what I know about each as iv been to most for tours plus iv attended school at baran now Lincoln tech. Hit me up with any questions or what ever ya want ta know I can even steer ya the right direction to win mom over.

Thanks yeah I know I made a comment bout ranger in another post it's been offered to guys but I'm seriously considering getting outa dodge after this deployment. I'm done with the military my 6 years is up 6 months after my return. I think the only way I could stay is if I went aviation but that's not likely either. I'm just gonna use this deployment to get into shape heck I'm only going to kuwait a a infantryman wooooo whoptie do lol get into shape come home finish out stay in shape and get out.

I love the m14(m1a1) I'd buy one in a heart beat if they wernt so expensive and hard to find. The siagas just arnt my cup of tea I guess iv never liked em. My father in law loves em but he doesn't have one he just talks that he wants one but claims there to expensive he's still living in the 60s prices with EVERYTHING thinks everything should be cheap an also hold it's value hence why his truck is still for sale because he asks the sticker price from 12 years ago with 80k on it lol buts that's here nor there. I'm thinking I may just buy a pre ban lower stripped and make it a project that will take time to complete that way it's unique and built around me and I can make it tactical and target/varmint with just changing uppers. Reason for the pre ban is here in ny we adopted the AWB and I don't feel like having all the stock welded or pinned and be able to have it threaded barrel along with the stock pile of 30rnd mags I have can be used.

Well as some of you have read in my other thread iv been struggling with my 2 mile run for the army. Well I just ran to the gate and back which is a hair over 2 miles(2.2 clocked in the van) and I did it in 15:50 which is my best time sense iv been outa basic. I only need 16:36 minimum so I'm good. That's also 2 minutes shaved from last weeks test when I ran it in 17:54. It was a nice run though I'm not no track star never will be just happy I made it in a passage time alot was due to help and motivation I got here. Norcalbassin helped a ton pming me helping me diagnose my knee and foot pain and got it squared away best he could threw just messaging back and forth and now I'm almost pain free. Just thought I'd share my progress and give thanks to those who here who motivated me cuz I was thinking it tonight while running telling my self it's just 2 miles and I got we done in 15:50 within my goal now to do it on test day.

The AR jamming is lack of a clean rifle and or crappy mags. My m4 ha been used and abused by who ever had it befor me and iv put an easy 30k or more rounds threw it 20k were blanks the worst thing ad most likely to jam. The only issue iv had was my cheap green mags not feeding and a simple smack on it frees it up a it feeds ad extracts flawlessly never an issue. I don't doubt the sigas accuracy I have a cheap marlin Xs7 .243 that shoots .307" groups all day long at 100yds and opens to roughly .5" at 200 and 300yds is about a inch but my 3x9 looses it's oomph out that far and I have a hard time getting the same poa with it. Personally I like the AR platform misty because it's what in used to what I use every day in the army unless I'm feeling frisky and pick up a saw or 240. I like the .223 because it's cheap ad plentiful for decent ammo and brass and reloading componits are cheap. It also is very customizable I can get my tactical then buy a 6.8 or .458socom or even get my .17rem upper for it knock the two pins slap the new upper on and rock out same trigger same cheek stock weld everything the same kinda like having a TC encore(my other gun I'm gonna buy if my fatherinlaw doesn't give me his g2 pistol first)

Wow..........
I tried actually but he wasn't going for it. There actually quite tasty grass hoppers are.

1.5" at 100 is horrible I'm sorry that's not a good accurate rifle in my eyes yeah sure it goes bang when ya hit the trigger but that's it. If it's 1.5moa at 100 then at 200 I'll be lucky to hit the kill zone of the game I chase or even the targets I shoot at. I don't have a gun besides slug guns that arnt sub MOA but there d**n close. The AR platform is also battle proven I carry a m4 every single day. I know sks can be accurate but not ad accurate as a AR or variant. On the subject of m1a I would love one of them iv been considering one for a long time there just harder to come by.

Can't Decide
I hunt as much as I fish every day but I already have 2 predator guns and am gonna add a 3rd if I build the AR the varmint style I will have 4 rifles for smoking fox and coyotes. Iv thought building both and buying a .17 fireball or .17 remington upper for it and swapping it out.
-
Kuwait
See that's what I was thinking too and why I never thought of fishing there till now that it's just to d**n hot and sandy. Like the pic rocking a IBA even lol. By the sounds of our mission changing for the 50th time and I'm not exaggerating it's gonna be a boring long pointless deployment. Bout now I wouldent care if they canceled it all together. But also u know the army rumor mill it could be way different and I'll end up in Iran or Syria who knows.

Round Split Rings Vs Oval
I changed mine to oval and I didnt see much difference honestly supposedly they make em track truer and better for tiring knots and not having it on the start of the ring. Me I did t notice a difference from o to oval to none at all they all swam the same and caught the same befor and after the change up.
