Can u get maps on the lake to find the points and other structure that way? I went out saterday on a co workers boat and paid no attention to the electronics and boated 5 good sized keepers all well he trolled it was tricky moving that fast but I got 5 plus a rock bass that hit a 1/2oz football jig

Just cuz its hot doesn't mean there on the bottom we caught a handfull yesterday in 40ft of water cranking down to 6ft they were even hitting buzz baits durring the afternoon hours with the sun high.

Save save save your money put it into a savings account without a debit card tied to it so if u do want it u gotta over come the laziness that comes with driving to the bank to take it out at least it works for me. I'm only 24 and am broke as all hell I made more money in HS and college then I do now as a teacher and never put it away like I should of. Buy some budget combos and save I'm guessing ur bank fishing or out of a canoe and u can only carry so many set ups with u so half the time u will probably leave them home or in the car and not even use said high end rod. Listen to your parents and save I wouldent put a percentage on it rather then say 50 bucks per check depending what u make that's more theb enough to replace lost baits or set aside for a new set up.

I'm running 17lb flouro and usually havoc spears for a bait its fairly tough I'll try a few things though to get it more weedless that or just use regular offset hooks

wow no wind in roc we got 15 to 20mph winds gusts in the 30s here its not to bad out

We got tons of spots like that out here but its 45min to an hour from ROC johnsons and oakorchard both are great for wading with ul for smallies

Yeah the .308 is one of the best rounds there is granted there are better but its argueably one of the most accurate. The .243 my fav is a 308 necked down to .243 check out www.6mmbr.com they have charts and info on many calibres its centered around benchrest shooters but ballistics are ballistics in terms of PBR and wind drift and drop.

Maybe I'm not putting enough plastic over the point its tough with rage craws though they rip to easy its my only downside for the rage craws

iv been using the gammy heavy cover worm hooks for some time now this season but they are hanging up alot it seems. I'm using them with havoc devil spears. Is there a trick to keeping to point bedded I always skin hook it but it pokes out and gets hung. I don't ever loose the hook it comes out with ease but requires me to bring the canoe right into the cover to poke it with the rod tip. I know J posted something about circle hooks but what size.

Its what almost everyone on tv uses 300 of some sort iv wanted one but my next centerfire will probably be a 308 just for cheapness of ammo that or a lever .357 or 44LC. My father in law uses his T/C contender in .357 max that thing is nasty convieniant little barrel he can throw .38 .357mag or 357 max threw it just adjust ur hold over but its zeroed for the max

Lol I hit a possum last year the d**n thing bounced up and hit my brake lines and in NY we have this great stuff called salted roads creating rust well I lost my brakes on a winding road next to a 150ft drop off into the lake plus it was 1am. Lots of e braking down shifting an automatic and trying to get residual pressure to stop.

I had my best luck twitching it like a xrap or something along them lines or letting it sink and hoping it like a tube or jig. Jackall recomends cast out reel streight back no twiching I find this retrieve to be a non effictive retrieve

A well placed .243 will get the job done plus if u look at the ballistics of the .243 over the other choices here it blows them all out of the water in drop and wind drift it just looses its energy at farther distances but its more accurate even at 1000m so its easier to put in the boiler at distance its a small round but very effective round.
