thanks guys time to stock up on some power pro

Catch a new personal best wich is gonna be hard here in New York. Also 4+ 6lb river smallies I got 3 last year and my goal was just 1 over six and I got 3 in a week. Id also like to get my wife a 6lb smallie her pb is a 5lber she got when she was 39weeks prego with our first son.

How is the power pro line im looking to get new braid this year I used to always run spider wire but with issues. Iv been recomended the suffix stuff and fire line but its a little on the pricie side when I do find it. Power pro is decently priced and readily available so im thinking of getting power pro cuz its carried at all the local shops and walmart.

very intresting I didnt think that many people used them. there alot cheaper I noticed also then LP reels. now i got diffrent ideas I just ordered a Revo SX that i was gonna use for jigging and top waters but I think I may use my c4 instead and use the revo for soft plastics and everything else.

I bought one for last season didnt have any luck on it in blue gill color. I had issues with duribility they ripped in half on me really really easy i had a little 12 incher bite the tip tail of it and it ripped in half on the hook set. I will say it did look super nice going threw the water though.

if it wasnt for foot rubs i wouldent fish every day ask my nephew well team up he gets the left i get the right lol well rub her feet to go fishing. "hunny can we go fishing?" "no u havent rubbed my feet lately" "ryan lets rub her feet and decided what lake were going to" lol

thats the lines i was thinking also maybe using mine for sense i only go for cat fish for maybe a week out of the year during the canal derby. but on the same token i throw crank baits even less then i fish for cats

Thanks she does take pretty good care of me she puts up with my fishing even if she is a pain at times but that's what there good at i just blame it on being pregnant again d**n baby mood swings. she just changed the deal to were buying the reel this Friday and the rod on the 1st so i can get a even nicer rod ;D

does any one use round BC reels for bass fishing? I have a Abu garcia ambassadeur c4 i use for cat fish in the erie canal but that's it. I seen on Hank parkers show he had on a pistol grip casting rod for crank baits so my wheels started turning in my head. does any one else use them for bassn or are they more a live bait and big fish type reel.

So i open my phone on lunch to read a crap load of messages from the wife and it went like this. Alexis(wife)- so iv been looking on bass pro we could save the money from this week and then on the 1st get the revo stx its up to you Alexis- I just think the Quality is way better the gears are designed better iv been reading on their website. Alexis- they have a combo for 269 either that or just buy the reel and look for the rod on the first idk completely up to you me- we can do that me- i was thinking a veritas rod its 99.99 Alexis- just take into consideration when u leave for Afghanistan im gonna use the set up. me- deal Alexis- what ever you want me- k me love you your the best wife everrrr ill rub your feet ever night till the first and twice on your bday Is that not sweet shes having a slow day at work and she looks up and reads up on fishing stuff for me and upgrades what i can get saturday i was getting the orra sx then Sunday she bumped me to the revo s. then i posted on here asking what rod to get with the revo s and you guys suggested upgrade the reel to the STX or SX so i told her and bam today she reads up and says get the STX is that not awesome. plus its her bday next week but i already got her presents and i still get stuff to.

very nice I'm hoping to get on the oak or johnson's this week but its gonna be a tough choice shoulder to shoulder trout fishing or go for some bass in the lake above the dams on the oak and Johnson's creek decisions decisions.

you could always take the little paper out of the package that's says what it is and brand and put it in the bottom of the compartment so you always know. but then again if u already have the weights and threw the packaging out kinda rules that out but for future reference maybe.

I wont be able to hold both the closest BPS is 3 hrs away and sadly iv never been there.

I'm pushing my luck with getting the revo s. i would LOVE a stx but shes at her limit with a 200 dollar combo the main reason shes allowing me to get it is the mail in rebates abu garcia has going on. originally it was a orra sx and a tec spec from dicks she bumped it to a revo s and carbon lite or veritas cuz the orra sx had allot of bad reviews about the anti reverse bearing.

I live on a lake that has a drawdown. I find a lot of lures in and around rock-piles, as a side benefit it keeps them away from dogs. They seem drawn to the scented one my nephew and i do the same thing in the Erie canal by the wide waters we clean up some of the scrap that gets dumped and find a ton of lures snagged on the junk people dump in there box springs always get dumped and there lure magnets.

wouldn't they just be ranged smallest to biggest if you know your smallest is a 1/32 then that's the itty bitty one and obviously your 1/2 and 3/4 ounce ones are bigger. I just organize mine by size the bigger the heavier they are. As long as there's no lead weights mixed in with tungsten

My wife was feeling generous over the weekend and is allowing me to buy a new rod/reel combo this Friday. She wants to order me the Revo S/BPS carbon lite combo from bps. I was thinking same reel but paired with a Veritas or Vendetta. I'm thinking I'm gonna get a MHF rod for jigging and fishing the thick stuff.

Yeah I only get out a few hours a day all day trips are maybe once a week except during vacations its the nice side of being a high school teacher I get lots of time off and only work till 230

Honestly how often does every one get out to fish. I honestly get out and fish every day once the ice is gone. spring I'm up at 5am and fish till i go to work at 745 then at 11 i get a hour lunch and there's a bass pond out front so there's my lunch. and then after work i grab my nephew or wife and were in the river for smallies every day rain or shine. that goes on till it freezes and hunting season starts. all is from the bank also and i live on the water and within 20mi of 10 different lakes or rivers life is good ;D

its pretty much all i use for a spinner bait cuz i found a sale like that a few years ago and loaded up. it was the go to for pike and bass last spring easily over 200 of my fish were caught on T1 spinners last year never had an issue

i figured some kid messed with it. I'm definitely gonna pick one up hopefully soon my nephew called me yesterday saying the lake we fish by him is open just flowing really fast so time to go fishing....daily ;D

hey don't feel bad i thought the same from the commercial everybody prolie did. My wife flipped and wouldn't let me watch it cuz shes evil like that so i dvr it and watch when she sleeps. then she seen an episode and agreed with me when i told her she wasn't hott and now i can watch it lol.

iv just been watching re runs of all my fishing shows on DVR. but i did drive by some reservoirs the other day that were 75% thawed i started to drool a little bit and almost went off the road lol

its a extremely healthy lake/pond everything there is giant even the gills. its very well hidden and surrounded by farm land that's posted. unless you walk down stream a few miles to get there. we just asked the farmers and got the go ahead just don't trash the place. but all the fish are extremely healthy and spunky
