O rings on Senko's
NH Bull, I use plastic tubing also. Just cut a ring off when needed. Never thought of putting the hook thru the tubing and the worm. I just used it as you would an o-ring. d**n fine idea.

Bill Dance is back with Stren!
I think people generally romanticize that because they like a personality he's "nice guy" and therefore they can trust what he says about products. A lot of seemingly nice guys turn out to be anything but. If you want to learn about products, talk to other fisherman who have no axe to grind. ( I guess?)

Hi or Hello from an (old) NEWBIE from PA.(video)
Welcome, you figured out the best way to bass fish in PA...have your own pond! (Should be called the PA Trout Commission)

Bill Dance is back with Stren!
Bill Dance was sponsored by Stren before Hi Seas came on the market. Everyone needs sponsors, but some guys lay it on a little thick. When a guy stands there before God and everybody and says " I truly believe this is the finest line I've ever fished" and this is the (pick a#) different line brand he's said it about it gets a little old.

Drop Shot Guide size help
If you use Minima fly guides try and make sure they are the double swaged ones. These used to be known as Minima 4's. Minima 3's were single swaged and some had sharp edges on the tip side of the ring. This drove me nuts.

Microwave Guide Spacing on an ultra-lite setup
PigStix, I'm sorry I missed your reply, the butt and stripper guide are one and the same. Better late than never.

Rainshadow Immortal Blanks-new prices
Big Bait, read the FAQS on the Utmost website. Lemonade, read the sign! Just kidding, Happy Holidays. Also, if you can get a blank shipped cheaper I'd like to know where.

Getting into rod repair/building ~ Advice Needed!
For practice getting started look no further than you own arsenal of rods. If you're anything like me a few of them will be old enough to benefit from new and possibly smaller guides, foregrip removal, Making full cork or eva into split grips... once you start it never stops, but it's a great ride! These are great days with help and advice at you're fingertips. It sure wasn't always like this.

Microwave Guide Spacing on an ultra-lite setup
I am assuming this is a spinning rod ,if so the instructions are: from the lip of the extended spool to the stripper 19 1/2", Transition 30 1/2", 1st running guide (choker) 39 7/8. This set of three may be moved 2" in either direction safely if needed. The measurements are inclusive of several different reel sizes. the runners are placed in the static test, it doesn't matter if you only need 1.

Question for Glenn

Question for Glenn
Glenn, in watching your review of Seaguar flippin' braid I saw that the stripper on your rod is only about 8-10in. in front of the reel. Is that a telescopic rod, or is the stripper fixed at that point for a reason. I'm not familiar with flippin'rods. Thanks, Lynn

Reel Size
Thanks guys, I got a Fuji locknut for this seat to insure a little extra thread length. If need be my son can back it off the threads and tape or twist tie it to the blank in front of the seat while a larger reel is in use, if in fact one is ever used. Just wanted to give him a little added flexibility. Thanks again, Lynn

Reel Size
I have 7 different bass casting reels measured and all the feet measure about 2and 7/16" in length. PQ's, Revos , Shimanos, and such. If I wanted to go to a larger reel, how much bigger could I go before that footprint would increase? The subject in question is a light swim bait, umbrella rig rod that may be used in saltwater sometime in the future and I don't want to cut the threads off too short may they be needed to accommodate a longer foot. Batson 8 ft. 2 pc. 1-4 0z Pac Bay Minima seat. Thanks, Lynn

One for The Z-Train
Mark, in the 2012 season of your show you fished with Davy Hite at the Kingfisher Soc. You took great care to point out the feeders there and mentioned that we may see other shows filmed there whose hosts may fail to mention that fact. I saw such a show and listened while the host waxed poetic about all the elements of nature coming together to result in such a profusion of huge bluegill. Then I saw a feeder in the distance and put 2 and 2 together. I still see this guy from time to time (he belongs out there in the wild). What a tool! We luv ya cause we always get the real deal. Keep up the good work. Lynn Not fishin' for a reply here! Just putting it out there.

My last attempt involved cork seal and food coloring. Result: green hand.

for Batson (short fish)
In response to Custers post: rodbuilding season on Dec 26/15 you recommended an RS sw967f as a swimbait -flippin-froggin rod and said you use this blank yourself for these purposes. Could you tell me which reelseat (size) and guides you used in this build. I love the idea of a 2pc. flippin stick that would be suitable fo other things as well. My son got me some credit at Utmost for X-mas and if I can keep the cost at a resonable level I'm gonna build him an 8 foot rod that'll fit in his Corolla! Thanks, Lynn

cork dyeing
What did you use to dye the cork? I've all but given up on this as a lost cause. They look great by the way.
