  1. Look at it this way at least you got to fish. I am sitting here in 8 inches of snow with no fishing in sight. Just keep reading everything you can and continue to follow this forum you will learn alot. Sounds like a shakey head may have worked for you today. Learn what you can about that technique and I promise you will start catching fish on a more consistent basis.
  2. I use the same boxes and have never had any problems.
  3. Well I have no idea of any info but considering where you are am I correct in saying that the bass are in prespawn phase? If so try a square bill crank shallow in some cover try reeling slow and crawl it over and through cover. Hope is helps!
  4. Just make sure you don't use those jigs on pymatuning! They don't like them at all!...lol...
  5. Very nice work! Hope it pays off for you with a big ole pig!
  6. I use the vmc spinshot hooks with robo worms and love it. I have also used the small senkos hooked wacky style with good results. Robo worms do float but not for long. When I catch one they usually shake the worm off and I am constantly netting the worm before it sinks. They can get expensive!...lol..
  7. I have had the luxury of meeting many pros over the last few years and Greg hackney and Guido hibbon were extremely nice people. Also Forrest and Nina wood are some of the best people you will ever meet!
  8. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
  9. Been thinking of getting one also because if they use it it must be pretty accurate.
  10. Is this the same one they use on major league fishing?
  11. Price is not a issue. I just want the best rod for cranking shallow to mid depth. If that is a 50.00 rod or 300.00 just as long as it does a good job. However I don't want to pay for a name just results! Thanks all!
  12. Just got a new tundra back in September! I was always a gmc man but after having this tundra for awhile I am very happy! Only time will tell on longevity. It is better to have something and never use it then not to have it at all! Jeff, do you like having the leveling kit? Thought about getting one put on!
  13. Just got my lews BB1 in today! My first impression is how small it feels in my hand. Seems like the newer reels are getting smaller. Anyway love the looks now I just need to find a good cranking rod to put it on! Any suggestions? Thanks all!
  14. Nice job would love to start filming some myself!
  15. Congrats! Have a blast just remember to offer your boater a little help if you can.
  16. I don't know how small you are talking but I use mine for cranks and it throws a bandit 200 very well!
  17. 5500 for me! I love that reel, I use it for cranking and it casts a mile.
  18. Line I use is braid with a 10-12 foot leader of fluro. I use only punisher jigs, the hair ones are good with water temp down to about 46 then I use their duck feather ones. I have fished it in water down to 40 with great results. Some of my biggest smallies came on this method! I use a 9-10 foot leader. Hope this helps!
  19. 1. DT Fat 2. Bandit 200 3. Bomber fat free shad
  20. 7 inch berkley power worms in blue fleck color! Any of the other colors will also work but that color seems to work in VA for me.
  21. I fizz bass through the throat and they all swim away with no problems ( to my knowledge ). I learned how to do it for fishing lake Erie. I have seen many smallmouth die as a result of not fizzing them. There are a lot of good videos on how to do it.
  22. Yes I got the ones that Gary Yamamoto designed for senkos! Good to hear.
  23. Learn how to fizz. It is quite easy once you do a few and you will save alot of fish!
