Well went out a little this afternoon and found 12 black morels! My first black ones I have ever found. Should be a good season here in southwest PA!
  2. Perch colored glass shad rap for now then shaky head worm green pumpkin bandit 200 series craw orange or craw chart. colored. That should put some in the boat!
  3. Thanks for all the tips! Would love to see some pics of you guys kayaks!
  4. Thanks, stupid question but when it is raining I would keep those holes open correct? Also do I need to have a flag pole on the yak? Thanks again I hope to have everything ready to go by the first of June!
  5. Well I am going to start saving up for a perception caster! After looking at a lot on the Internet this is the one that looks the best for me. So, besides the kayak what else? Paddle, vest and?? I know depth finder but that will be later on, also I saw truck bed extender that looks like it would work for me. Thanks to everyone for their recommendations. I did like the Jackson coosa but a little steep in price for me to start out!
  6. I have read a lot on here about kayak fishing and it has spark some interest in me. I know nothing so all help would be appreciated. I am 6 foot 240 pounds, so I want something stable but not too big. I would be fishing small lakes and some bigger but nothing too big. I looked at pelican castaway 116 for sale at gander mt. Have no idea I do know I want a sot and something that I can add accessories to. Looking to start cheap maybe under 500? Also I have a pickup with 6'6" bed do you guys trailer these or put them in the back? Thanks Phil, with the price of gas the ranger maybe sitting slot in the driveway this year!
  7. Well I would put it with the trolling batteries and not sure but doesn't the big motor charge the cranking battery? My onboard charger does just that, charges the trolling batteries and my motor charges the cranking batter. Hope this helps!
  8. I like a bunch but the few I always watch is zona, umf, Scott Martin and bassmasters!
  9. Thanks guys I bought one of each, candy craw okcc. craw and I think dirty craw can't remember the third one. Anyway I will let you know which one I like best!

    Nice fish guys!
  11. Thanks everyone! I am going to go with candy craw because everyone suggested it, and occ. craw, and I liked the look of the big Tex and dirty craw! Has anyone tried the last two colors I mentioned? Thanks to big o also green pumpkin is awesome in everything made but for these I am going to take a break from that color, just get wore out looking at the same thing all the time! Also do you guys prefer the baby craw to the regular craw for smallmouth and largemouth under five pounds? I will be Texas rigging most of the time with these.
  12. Ok guys I am getting on the rage bandwagon and am really interested in the baby craw. Will be fishing these on a small Texas rig for smallmouth and largemouth. Will be fishing in rocky river system lake and rivers with clear to stained water. My question is what colors do you all recommend? I have a few in mind but thought you may have had some luck on certain colors! Thanks!
  13. Nice job!
  14. Farmer, if you played football since a young age and practiced year in and year out you probably would be able to block Dwight freeny! The great thing about fishing as opposed to other sports men and women young and old can compete and with a little bit of luck and a lot of hard work we too can go up against the pros. By the way good job beating some of the big boys!
  15. Thank you! Going to have a blast and wife and son are coming too!! They never get to see me in any tournaments so this will be great! Plus my birthday is Friday!
  16. With enough practice anyone can skip a jig with accuracy. You can practice every day for the rest of your life you are never throwing a baseball 95mph to a 6inch glove. Why? Do you think babies are born as pitchers or do they practice from a young age to learn how to pitch? I think if you are dedicated and put in enough time, heart, and practice you can do anything! What about Rudy from ND?
  17. Awesome that smallie is a beautiful fish! I will be there in less than 24 hours!!! ;D
  18. Nice fish! Look at how it's eyes are locked down. Did you catch it on a bottom lure, jig,grub,tube,etc...?
  19. Welcome and enjoy! Just be careful this site is addictive!
  20. Great job! What pound test did you catch it on? I always like to hear about how scared people get when they stick a pig like that on 8 or 10 pound test! ;D
  21. I think you are right, he is the guy who did race cars. Good luck!
