I have both and they feel similar in power (not action), I would say similar in sensitivity too. The three points the 735c FC has over the avid is the XF action, better balance, 3 inches.I mostly used both with 1/2oz jigs and they both handled them with ease

I liked Amber over the copper based. Between the two I can use amber a half hour longer than copper when it gets darker. Far as visibility goes it was little bit better but not a real big improvement Eyesight and perception is subjective from one another though

Grip is a huge factor, with the way I grip I leave just the pinky below the support arm and it balances out better.

The avid will feel better balanced since it's full cork, it's like that way vs all the other LT models too. As you pointed out the imbalance won't really affect outcome since the tip will be down most of the time. I've been using the LT Jerkbait rod for two years and the majority of it has been with jerkbaits, it does it's job great. Although I don't have it anymore since I gave it to my wife for a pitching rod I slid over to a 6'8 medium extra fast, the tip action on croix's XF are special that it seems like it has a knack for jerkbaits I think the key components when choosing the Avid vs LT is: Avid - balances better, full cork, $50~less LT - Split cork, tiny grip, tip heavier, better guide system and a bit more sensitive to the point where some people might not feel the difference over the avid It really comes down to wanting to spend the $50~ on the different features.

Based of the (M) it's a crankbait rod being Moderate, Would better suited for heavier cranks, I would try bigger spinnerbaits, mag top water and big jerkbaits.

How can you read more if others post less?

Once you get use to electric, just like cable, you learn how to read where the unit is positioned, I really don't have a problem knowing where the direction is, far more easier using the remote too. Far as turn speed goes, cable is definitely faster but I don't see where the electric isn't good enough. For the weed build up I've learned to reverse the unit and kick full speed on for a second, it blows off most if not all the slop. This is of course when I'm plowing through slop.

Seems a lot faster to push one button and do anything you want while it's stowing itself. I could throw on a life jacket in that time and be ready quicker... Though who really cares about seconds for trolling motor storing?
