  1. Can't exactly remember, but I can take a pretty good guess ......... I joined January 11, 2005 at 2:09 am So obviously I couldn't sleep. Probably suffering from Cabin Fever ... so I started reading stuff about bass fishing on the net. BassResource came up. And the rest is history. I also think about the time I joined is when I was planning a trip to Lake Fork. I might have been trying to gather info about that. This is also the first forum I had ever joined or participated in. To tell you the truth, before BR I didn't even realize forums existed. Now I can see there is a forum for everything .. and I am mean everything. Have an appreciation for light bulbs? ... There is probably a light bulb enthusiast forum out there.
  2. I have presets on the thermostat so it cycles automatically. 11pm - 6am 65* 6am-9am 72* 9am-4pm 65* 4pm-11pm 70*
  3. And he is off .............
  4. I think we might have to add Carrot Styx to the Religion and Political Posts policies These things get heated
  5. Depends if I am feeling the "vibe" or not ;D ;D .... no seriously
  6. That was skunked_again's comment. Not mine. I think he might need to invest in a better map. Or he knows about a "scenic" route that I don't know about ;D ;D ;D ....... Get on 69 highway ..... take a right and you are there ;D
  7. So many classic lines in that movie ;D ;D ;D
  8. In the end it all comes down to personal preference. Two people can look at an attribute of a line. One might call it an advantage, the other might call it a disadvantage. The only two things I do that are ABSOLUTES for me regarding line are: 1) No braid with any baits with treble hooks. 2) Braid as my main line while c-rigging
  9. That's kind of my thinking. Call me a "nancy boy" as well. : :)
  10. I am interested in this too. I was literally just looking at the site not 5 minutes ago and wondering the same thing. :-?
  11. I REALLY think this is an area where we as anlgers make this way too difficult. IMO lure color catches way more anglers than it does fish. Over the past 3 seasons I have been experimenting with basically only carrying 3 to 4 colors of plastics. I haven't had any decrease in numbers or size and it's made my life a whole lot easier.
  12. 4 lbs eh?? Weighing the bait or the fish??? DD for sure right?
  13. Is this going to be televised?? I am not really a NASCAR fan, but I might have to watch to just be able to say I watched. That's nuts!!!!
  14. Those TDA's were a steal right before they stopped making them :-?
  15. Man that is HORRIBLE. Thoughts with the family

  17. That sucks ....... you had wear something with sleeves today :
  18. Yep. He is so awkward and hard to watch. Same with that other guy .... Lurch, I think.
  19. PLEASE POST A PIC OF THAT!!!!! I have been flirting with the idea of building a small removable console for when I am fishing solo. I would like to see yours to get some ideas.
  20. College parking ....... OH MY GOD!!!!!! It shouldn't be that hard to go to class > >
  21. OK Devil's Advocate here ;D ;D ;D I have a 10 ft Bought 13 years ago (I think). Last year was the first time I have ever had a leak. And it's not at the seam. It's at the handle area. So the only water that ever gets in is rain water. I just have to flip it over and let it drain for about 10 minutes before I go fishing. It's on my list to fix this spring. My boat has always been stored outside in the elements and for the first 10 years was thrown in and out of the bed of a truck. So it's not like I have babied it. Stability ...... This where I HATE small jons. I have had 2. A 14 ft that I decked and 12 ft we just kept at a pond we had permission to fish. I originally decked the 14 ft like a mini bass boat. WAAAYYYYYYY too tippy. Cut down the decks and made them into floor boards instead. It was better but you still really had to watch yourself. Stability is the one thing I absolutely will not sacrifice. Sold it and went back to "old faithful". The 12 ft had no mods and we just sit on the benches to fish. Extremely uncomfortable and really not very fishable at all. The only jon I will ever consider buying again is one of those 16 ft Tracker Grizzly Boats (don't even know if that is considered a jon?) or something similar. And that's not really a cheap alternative. By the time that thing would be decked out the way I want it you are looking at probably close to $5,000 So beauty is all in the eye of the beholder. As far as small storable boats go, I can't think of a boat I would rather have or suits my needs better. And I am sure the jon people feel the same way about theirs
  22. Minnkota Transom Mount Trolling motors? Endura or Maxxum, 55lbs, 12V
  23. Yep ... I did it for my grandmother for Christmas. I put all her 8mm tapes on to DVD organized chronologically the best I could. If you have the patience it's really not too difficult to do. You just have to buy a "Capture" device (I think that's what is called)
  24. March to May 15 ..... you should be good to go
  25. Hold on!!!!! ..... I need to make it official with the picture. I can't take that 5 point deduction ;D ;D ;D Now it's official
