  1. 7 inches?? :-? : ;D ;D
  2. If you have a 92 honda accord and pull your boat with it that means that I can pull my boat with my 93 honda accord and I don't have to wait for my hubby to take me. ;D I am so glad I saw your post. How hard is it to put a hitch on your car and how much did it cost. ;D ;D ;D Remember I am only pulling a 10' two man boat on a utility trailer. Total the whole package probably weighs less that 600 lbs. But it does do surprisingly well. I got the hitch installed and wired for a little less that $200. Be sure to call around and get some quotes. I found that Uhaul was the most expensive by almost double. I found that surprising.
  3. I never sharpen hooks. Single hooks made by Owner, Gamakatsu and XPoint cannot be sharpened and don't need to be! Otherwise, I replace treble hooks with Gammies or VMC. 8-) I think of also read in an article about not sharpening hooks like Owner's cutting point. You will ruin the "cutting point" which is what you paid that premium price for in the first place.
  4. My two addictions as well. Fishing really took over for about 3 years and then last year I started golfing more than fishing It's just so hard to balance the two. To have any consistency with golf it's really something you need to work at 3-4 times a week if not more .... especially with a swing like mine. And then trying to fit a fishing trip or two in there. Oh yeah and then there is that "work" thing that ruins everything : :-/ ;D
  5. I have a '92 Honda Accord that just passed to 200,000 mark and still going STRONG. I also pull my boat with it, but I just have a little utility trailer and a 10' two man boat. I got tired of using my dad's truck and having to fill it up when gas started getting so expensive. It paid for itself in two months. I graduate in May and may buy a new truck or SUV when I start a new job, but no way in hell am I getting rid of the Accord. Just not worth it for what I could get for it. I will drive the thing until the day it dies; and by the way it's going it won't be anytime soon.
  6. hawg caller, You cant watch the episodes on line on the Lunkerville website
  7. I just want to get in here while I can .... The Royals are in 1st
  8. I just can't decide who I want to win .... hmmmmm ... : ;D Seriously I think if Memphis is on their game they will be the hardest to beat. I expect them to hand it to UCLA (I just haven't been overly impressed with them the times I have seen them play). I think KU and Carolina are a lot alike. I think KU is the most balanced team in the country. While Carolina has that "go to guy" that KU lacks.
  9. I am not a big believer in scents either, but I do put Mega Strike on just about everything. I feel that it acts as a lubricant and helps baits come through vegetation.
  10. LOZ = Lake of the Ozarks
  11. It is incredible the "fouls" he draws and the no calls he gets. Great player no doubt but he does get an incredible amount of calls
  12. I tell myself all the time I was going to do the velcro thing. Just never have gotten around to it. I also flirted with the idea of making a deck and mounting it on that when I am fishing solo. I made a cardboard cut out and put it in place before I went through the trouble and expense of making the deck for real. I didn't like the room it took up so I decided against it.
  13. I just leave mine loose and stick it in back corner. Easy enough to see when I want to see it and it out of the way and not. Also movable wherever you want to put it. I was always put holes in the boat :-/
  14. XL is the line I compare all other lines too. Kind of like my "standard". Not bad, but not exceptional.
  15. WHAT A BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Dumbest post in BR history?
  17. A custom DG Rod Works Loomis MB844 IMX paired with a Curado 100D.
  18. While I agree 6 lbs line is not ideal, sometimes the conditions call for it. There is a lake I fish here at times that is extremely clear, small, and heavily pressured. I'll drop down to 6 lbs line with a 3/16 oz jig.
  19. Start here: http://www.bassresource.com/fish/jigs.html Be sure to read the articles at the bottom
  20. Ideally the conditions should dictate the size of jig you throw. ....... but with the information given I probably woundn't throw more than a 1/4 oz jig
  21. Nice!!! .... but don't you want to show the video ;D ;D ;D (I killing time on YouTube this morning and just happened to stumble on that little beauty)
  22. I bought one late last year in the Bargain Bin at Cabelas ... I want to say it was less than $10 Anyways, QUESTION: Just how much drag do those things put out? Like enough to pull the boat under? To tell you the truth I am kind of scared to use it ..lol. I just have this picture in my head of it dragging whatever side of the boat it is connected to under water : ;D Is that just stupid or what? Also, mine didn't come with any ropes (maybe the reason it was so cheap). Any specific suggestions?
