  1. ;D ;D ; I lived that way for 2 or 3 weeks once. Drove me absotely nuts. I believe someone on her led me in the right direction. Just paying it forward. ;D ;D
  2. I have had that problem before too. Can't remember the fix, but it is definitely something on your end. Something in your settings. edit: Did a quick search and this is what I found. Pretty sure this was my fix. See if this will solve the problem: Go to Tools > Options > General > Under Temporary Internet Files > click on Settings > make sure Automatically is selected > OK your way out Looks like things have changed with the newer IE versions. Looks like it is now ... Tools > Internet Options > Browser History > Make sure Automatically is checked
  3. Ohhhh baby!!!! Brisket just came off and it is the best I have done to date. Ribs, sausage, and wings have about another hour to go. For me ... this day/meal is better than Thanksgiving.
  4. Well I am about to throw a huge brisket on the smoker. This is my first attempt at a 24 hour brisket. Probably throw the ribs on around 11 or so tomorrow. Then whatever everyone else brings.
  5. Me too. I don't get the hype at all.
  6. It's a shame most comedies do that. Starts off great and stupid for 45 minutes to a hour, then they have to ruin it and get all serious. ;D
  7. Well Peterson has been a problem for quite a while now. Yes he did a tremendous job when he first got here though. Players have complained quite some time about his contract negotiating tactics. Most recently Jared Allen (who was been very public about it ) and Tony Gonzalez. That was a shame he couldn't trade Tony G before the trade deadline this year. His years are running short and he deserves his shot. Hate to see him go, but he deserved to be on a team that had a shot this year. Then Carl's past 2 hires for head coach have been friends of his. Both were problems IMO. Yeah Dick Vermeil had a few descent seasons, but he built teams for the short term with no concern at all for the long run. Look at both KC and St. Louis. And then Herm was just unqualified IMO. Carl was also in charge of the business operations. He has raised ticket prices every year even though the team continued to suck more and more. KC fans love the Chiefs and put up with it for a while, but this year I think people had finally had it. My family had season tickets for 25 years. We did not renew last year. So while I am glad to see Herm gone, I and most KC fans are probably more glad Carl Peterson is out of here. Here's a side story about what a sleeze ball Carl Peterson is: One of my friends used to valet park cars down on The Plaza. The Plaza is a ritzy part of town just outside of downtown. It has the more up scale bars, fine dining, and the up scale shopping in the area. So the night before the Chiefs hired Dick Vermeil my buddy was working at one of the restaurants down there. Up pulled 3 Suburbans and out jumps Carl Peterson, Dick Vermeil, and their entourage. Carl pulls my buddy aside and says take care of me and I will take care of you and gives him a wink. My buddy immediately gets excited because thinks he has a big tip coming. So my buddy sees when they finish their meal and busts his arse and get all three of his cars up front and warmed up in front so they would be there when they walked out. So the entourage files out and Carl is the last one. He quickly gets in one of the cars and tells my buddy "I paid the other guy" and gave him a wink. Well the problem with that was there was no "other guy". My buddy was the only one working there.
  8. FWIW, My mom works at a pain doctor and the majority of their business has to do with back pain. Last summer I did something to my back while trying to move a rock ... I mean boulder. They gave me some great tips. They told me heat is the absolute worst thing to put on. They told me to put as much ice on at as possible. I did 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off as often as I could. With in a couple days I had significant improvements.
  9. Near or in the 60's Wednesday and Thursday (I even slept with my windows open). Snowed last night. :-[
  10. I loved his line at the end of the season when asked how he felt about keeping his job. His response, spoken with a tremendous amount of confidence I might add, was "I think my work speaks for itself." Well yes .... yes it did. ;D ;D ;D ;D I remember when he got here I was so excited. Now I am elated that he is gone. Has to be THE most over rated coach in the NFL.
  11. We have got to do something about our borders. Those are clearly Canadian geese in disguise. ;D ;D
  12. That is a GREAT time!!!!!
  13. I sprinkle the Chex Mix seasoning you get in the packets over it.
  14. I may be wrong here, but I don't think a helmet to helmet penalty IN THE GAME can be called of that nature. The offensive player had the ball and was making an offensive move. Now had he been a QB or a defenseless receiver, yeah I think it can get called. I do however think he can get fined.
  15. I helped my buddy dig the hole to do that a few weeks ago when it was in the single digits. Yeah ..... it sucked. I was not there for the repair part which I bet sucked even more however.
  16. My cable is through SureWest/Everest. My DVR box is at least 2 years old, maybe pushing 3. Maybe the newer ones adjust themselves like you say? Might have to look into that. huskertko .... So you can watch current episodes ON Demand with Comcast? That's a pretty cool feature. When I lived in Lawrence my service from Comcast/Sunflower was awful. Awful price, awful features, awful customer service.
  17. Go .... Royals?? OK, I have made my contribution to the baseball post for the year. I will come back when I have something to talk about. So see ya next year for my annual post. ;D
  18. CSI fans that DVR'ed tonight's episode are going to be ticked. The presidential speech pushed everything back 15 minutes. Those who DVR'ed are going to miss the last part of Grissom's last episode. :-/ I usually never watch shows live. If I am home I normally let the DVR get a 15 to 20 minute head start and then I start watching. That way I can basically skip all commercials. I lucked out tonight. I normally go have a few drinks with my buddies on Thursdays. Tonight was too dam cold. If I would have missed the last part of this episode I would have been ticked. >
  19. I do like how the video doesn't start playing automatically. At first glance I don't like it either, but I am sure we will get used to it.
  20. My "family" got a Wii for Christmas. I bought COD World at War, man the online thing is addicting. I am not really into video games, but this thing has me hooked. I am now even toying with the idea of buying a PS3 because the PS3 versions of COD blow the Wii version out of the water.
  21. Basketball is not my favorite sport. If I were to rank them it would probably be 4th, but NCAA March Madness is the greatest sporting event in the world. Period. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!! (looking very average this year, but watch out next year )
  22. A little slow I guess, but watchable.
  23. Seeing it tonight or tomorrow night for sure
  24. I am not gonna lie .... I want a snuggie. My computer room is freakin freezing in the winter. :
