BYU vs. Washington controversy
Probably wouldn't have made a difference, but these "excessive" celebration calls are getting ridiculous. >

Post your pets
Very similar story as 4bizz's but the opposite. Called the breeders with the intention of getting the SMALLEST CHOCOLATE FEMALE they had mainly because of my small living quarters at the time. Went to the breeders and sat and watched as they let the pups out. All of them came running out and most ran to the mom to eat. Then there was this one that basically walked right over to me and sat on my feet like we had been buds for years. Only problem was it was the biggest yellow male. I really wasn't wanting a dog over 70 lbs at the time and I really had my mind set on a chocolate. I am now the owner of a 120 lbs yellow male ;D. Wouldn't have it any other the way. He really is the best dog I could ever ask for. Deuce

College Football - Week 1
I would agree to a certain extent except when you get a new coach. Those aren't the players he recruited for "his" program. For example look at Michigan. Compare Carr's offenses to the offenses Rodriguez had at WVU. Especially the style of QB. Rodriguez is trying to run his offense with Carr's players and it doesn't look like it's going to be pretty for a while. I understand what you're saying but switching a coach does not constitute a 'rebuilding' year. He's playing with the cards he's been dealt and he knew that going in. He can't trade any of them and he can't sign free agents.....if he could, then he could call it a rebuild......getting new pieces and parts to fix something that is broken. A new coach 'builds' a team for his tenure there and what he wants to accomplish. That cannot be done in one year unless he gets a whole class of freshman studs. He might recruit Johnny Halfback but Johnny Halfback is still in high school. It may take the coach 2, if not 3 seasons before he sees Johnny run on the field. Agreed. That being said a school like A&M should have enough just based on talent alone to beat ........ ???? ..... who ever they lost to ;D

College Football - Week 1
And the big 12 has what room to talk??? . In all due respect, we big XII fans didn't open the thread of SEC has no Equal. EXACTLY!!!! If you look at that thread I even said the the SEC is probably the best conference right now. It's just the gap that SEC fans think is between them and 2nd is ridiculous .... and quite frankly really annoying. It's not just here either. It's on every sports website around. And SEC fan's favorite target seems to be the PAC 10. So yeah it was great to see a weak depleted PAC 10 team take down an almighty powerful SEC team.

College Football - Week 1
No way an almighty SEC team could lose to a weak depleted little PAC 10 team could they? I mean the SEC is too strong.

The $EC has no equal
I don't think anybody is arguing that the SEC is bad. It's just cyclical like has been said many times in this post. And right now .... yes ... SEC is probably the top dog from top to bottom.

The $EC has no equal
http://www.rauzulusstreet.com/football/college/collegechampionship.htm I didn't do the numbers, but just at a quick glance it looks pretty cyclical to me

Deer farts
Come on Glenn!!! At least blame it on something that sounds similar. I find a duck usually works best. Then there are the ones were you have to go up to a large goose .... and maybe even a flock of geese.

What a jerk!
If the other men in your club have any kind of class they should have a BIG TIME problem with this as well. If they don't, it's time to find a new club. That one isn't worth belonging to. They should be putting some big time heat on this jerk basically making him feel unwelcome to ever come back. Personally I think he should be banned from the club permanently.

Darn gas prices, I got siphoned!
My neighbor had his 5 gallon gas tank stolen this weekend. It had just been filled and it was sitting in the bed of his truck while he was mowing in the back yard.

TM-front or rear mount?
Personally I think it's much easier to control on the bow. That's the way I originally had mine, but that all changed the first time we got caught in an unexpected WINDY T-Storm. If you get caught in a white cap situation the bow of the boat will tend it dig into the waves with the t/m mounted up front. You will take on water and LOTS of it. With the t/m mounted on the back, the bow seems to ride the caps much better. So for safety reasons only I keep mine on the back.

Fishing trips, gas, and you
In the past I have normally made 3 or 4 "day" or weekend fishing trips a year. (100-400 miles one way) I haven't made one of those in two years now and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Last year I even installed a hitch on my 4 banger Accord to haul my little boat around, It was getting to be a pain to borrow my dad's truck and fill it back up everytime .... especially when it really wasn't needed to haul my little boat.

shimano ? i just don't understand
I am a Shimano guy, but I have and have had just about all main brands in the past. I agree there are nicer reels out there that have the "bling" factor that catch anglers at first. The difference I have found with Shimanos is that they will actually be catching fish for years and years to come. In MY findings they stand the test of time better than any other brand I have ever used. That's what is most important to me.

Shimano Chronarc 50mg
IMO the Chronarch 50Mg is the "perfect" reel for most bass fishing.

frugality 101
Do and buy things right the first time ..... it's much cheaper in the long run. Even if it cost an extra $ or two initially.

Stanley cup playoffs
One of my old roommates was from Calgary so I am somewhat of a Flames fan. I really like hockey, but for some reason I can't get into watching regular season games. I have however watched most of the playoffs the past 10 years or so.
