My dad has gone through 2. The first one was kind of a long drawn out process for him to recover. The 2nd went significantly better than the first. The difference was he followed the physical therapist's routine to a "T". He wanted to kill her with all the stuff he went through ;D ... but he recovered much quicker.

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! This feels so good. I graduated in May so this is my first semester not having to deal with finals. I actually thought about "you guys" today at work thinking how bad it would suck to be worrying about finals right now. Gross!!!!!! So in your honor I drank a few brews til closing time with a few buddies tonight. My biggest challenge tomorrow is getting to work by 8 am. After that .... no worries. Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! I can honestly say this is the first time I really appreciate being through with it. Finals week SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

No way are we alone

When I was shopping computers a couple years ago I read an intersting article that was on Yahoo's homepage. It really shocked me as it probably will you. Laptops (in general) actually have a lower defective rate than desktops. I bought a desktop after my previous experience with my laptop. ;D ;D

When you say ... "This is not about Tech. They are ranked 7th" What you are doing there is eliminating Tech via the polls. But then when the same polls eliminate UT ... you say the polls shouldn't mean squat. Hmmmmmmm. I don't know the answer to the problem. All I know is the one in place sucks. I think a flip of the coin would have been more fair to decided the Big 12 south representative ... and that is between all 3 teams.

Yes I think she was well with in her right to carry. Openly? At a kids soccer game? I guess that is debatable. About her home based baby sitting service suffering ... She made a decision. Whether is was right or wrong, a smart business person would know that image means a lot. Guns are a sticky subject in the country. For her not to see how that could potentially harm her business is just her fault. No one to blame but herself.

I caught at least 1 rod and reel for about 4 years straight. The streak ended this year . One day a couple years ago while throwing a DD22 all day I brought up all sorts of stuff. Notables were a few old Coors cans and a pair of bra and panties. All were caught in about a 50 foot radius of one another. ;D

Gatorade, Water, or Iced Tea Pistachios (chewed like sunflower seeds ..... hands free!!!!) Then CHOW DOWN after I am off the water.

Is it just me or is it just brutal to watch a game on? I can't put my finger on it, but it's just so different (in a bad way) then watching a game on FOX, CBS, ESPN, or NBC.

On paper I think this weekend is full of a bunch of duds. I do think KU will take down Texas though .... of course I am looking through crimson and blue glasses Another thing, I had to do a double take and and look it up for myself with the original post #3 Florida vs #24 S. Carolina Really? Sout Carolina back in the top 25. I admit I havent seen them the past few weeks, but earlier this season they looked far from a top 25 team.

With the BCS any "BS" is possible .... but one would assume that Florida would make a jump over Texas. Florida would have just beaten the #1 team in the country while Texas was at home sitting on the couch. As an example look how UT jumped when they beat OU. Then look how TTU jumped when they beat UT. I would assume Florida would do the same thing.

If Texas Tech beats OU then everything should work out all nice and neat. .... Texas Tech vs the winner of Florida/Alabama If Tech loses to OU ... all hell could break loose. It would be a shame if the NC is not a Big 12 vs SEC match up. Clearly the two best conferences this year. It would be a shame to see USC sneak in. :

What a great game so far ... if you like defense that is. Every single yard gained is a battle.

Broke the $2 mark here today ... $1.99. I honestly kind of wish it would just settle around $2. I think it's fair considering the alternatives. I am in absolute fear of the "adjustments" if it gets "too low".

A few years ago I had to give a speech in my COMS class. The topic was Something Unique to do is Kansas City. It had to be within a 30 mile radius of downtown and it had to be something that not many people knew about. So one night I was flipping through the channels and I saw that the Travel Channel had something on like Haunted Kansas or something like that. So I stopped and started watching and was mildly intrigued. I am not really into that stuff, but I thought it was kind of cool because it was kind of local. At the end of show they did a bit about how the city gives Haunted Trolley Tours that explore the haunted stories of Atchison. DING!!! DING!!!! A speech topic and a girl I was dating at the time was kind of into this stuff. I could kill two birds with one stone. Score!! So I called the next day to find out more info about it and to my surprise I was able to reserve the last two spots on the trolley for the next Friday. I couldn't believe there were so many people booking for this thing. That piqued my interest a bit. So we rode the trolley and did the tour thing. The stories were kind of interesting, but in general I wasn't too impressed. I thought we were going to be able to walk through the houses. NOPE!!! Just parked the bus in front of the house and the narrator would tell the story about the house. So at the end I decided to drive myself to one of the houses and snap some pics to use for visual aids in my speech. I get to the house only to find out I left my good camera at home. Luckily I had my tackle bag in my truck in which I kept a crappy digital camera I used for fishing. My date also wanted her pic in front of the house. So we get out and she goes in front of the house and I snap this pic ... Now I know some might say this pic was caused by the shutter speed. You have to understand the camera I used to take this pic was probably among the first digital cameras ever made. About the most advance feature it had was flash. It was VERY VERY basic. Supposedly one of the "traits" of this ghost is electronic malfunction. I don't know what to think about the whole thing, but it definitely had me thinking. Maybe "changing the words" wasn't the right way to put it. It's more like they changed the arrangement a bit. It just didn't sit well with me. There was no need for it. They sounded great. They just needed to sing the song the way it is written.

AMEN!!!!! 8-) I agree normally ..... However, Game 1, with the Backstreet Boys ... that was a disgrace. They tried to put their own spin on it and even changed the wording around a bit. That's a big no no in my book. Just sing the thing like it was intended. It's already PERFECT. No need to put your own spin on it. Taylor Swift nailed it though last night!!!!!!
