  1. KU, The Beast is OK, but you really can't compare it to the "ATBRZR10000SE". There is only ONE! Ronnie Yeah, but you haven't seen "The Beast" in motion. Let's just say no one has ever challenged me to a race. I guess you could call that undefeated.
  2. Eat your heart out. I call her "The Beast" ;D ;D
  3. Yep. Been using Gamma Co-poly going into three years now.
  4. And then you have to pick it up :-[ :-/
  5. Is Minnkota's Digital Maximizer all that it cracked up to be? I have a $300 BPS Gift Card to replace my trolloing motor for my Bass Hunter type boat. I had pretty much made up my mind on a 40 lbs Maxxum, but then this morning I was flipping through the BPS Marine Catalog and saw they have some pretty sizeable mail in rebates for the Endura. I can get a 55 lbs Endura for $180 (normally $240). The extended battery life is what really appeals to me. My main lake I fish is only 400 acres. I fish lakes that are up to 1000. So speed really isn't a big concern for me. So what do you guys think? Digital Maximizer worth 15 less pounds of thrust and an extra $110?
  6. Broken - movie went no where. A waste of a hour and a half
  7. NO KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess because it wasn't your fish you brought out the scale that cuts weights in half ;D ;D
  8. Just an observation .... It seems as Florida bass (never caught one, just going by pictures) seem to look bigger than a Northern of the same weight. And the real big girls always look really long (like your avatar). Just seems like you can always tell a Florida bass (actually caught in Florida) from any others around the country.
  9. :o That second pic. Could have passed for bigger if you ask me
  10. What?!?!?!?!? It only took me about 45 minutes on the lake the very first time to catch a 10-8 new PB ;D ;D ;D Then about an hour later my dad caught a new PB a little over 8 lbs. Our second day of the trip all we did was catch measly 4 to 5 lb'ers all day long. That was probably my single most fun day of fishing as far as quantity goes. Not a bad lake ;D
  11. You truly are an inspiration!!!!! Another story of Alpster's kindness .... Last year in the early spring I started looking into getting into rod building. I posted a pretty basic question in the Tacklemaking section on here. Seems like with in minutes I had a PM from Alpster asking for my address and said that he had some stuff for me to get me started in my rod making endeavors. Pssssshhhhhhh!!!! It was far more than a "starter's kit" ....... thread, brushes, tape measure, guides, mixing cups, a grip set up, etc, etc etc. Unbelievable!!!! Unfortunately life happens and I haven't had too much spare time or extra $$$ to start building rods. I haven't even bought any fishing gear, besides the occasional bag of plastics or hooks, in almost a year. Hopefully I will get some free time and spare $$$ this summer (next winter for sure) and start building some rods. I already have some ideas on how to "Pay It Forward". I think that's the only thing to do. Thanks again for your kindness
  12. I am a member of the Blockbuster online/mail thing so I usually watch around 3-4 movies a week. Last night it was "Lucky Number Slevin" .... wasn't for me. Just did not get it. Turned it off after 20 minutes. On a side note I think two of the best movies I have seen within the past year are "Apocalypto" and "City of God". Neither of them are in english. Before I watched these two movies I would never give a subtitle movie a chance. Really after 10-15 minutes you don't even realize you are reading. Plus both these movies were incredible. I highly recommend them ... especially Apocalypto.
  13. Sorry, couldn't even begin to guess the yardage, but ... If distance is your main concern, you may want to consider going down to a M power rod. You would find it much easier to cast and you would pick up quite a bit of distance versus a MH rod. For example I use a completely different set up to fish weightless plastics in heavy cover. That's what I use a MH rod for. And that's more for pin point pitches with a max distance of 25-30 yards. Now if I casted this set-up as far as I could, I bet it would only go about 60%-70% as far as I cast with my M power set up.
  14. Just watched that last night as well. Pretty good flick.
  15. Casting distance also involves other things. For example rod action and line diameter. That being said my Shimano Scorpion 1000 Mg paired with a St Croix Legend Tourney 68MXF with 8 lbs line has got me good enough distance with weightless soft plastics to just about eliminate my need for spinning gear. Others I have used for weightless soft plastics: Curado 100D - just about as good as the Scorpion Curado 200B - descent Team Daiwa Advantage Supertuned - did not like it for this application Pflueger President - I would rate it a class just below the 100D and Scorpion
  16. Gulp :-? I think Robert just had some other plans come up ;D ;D
  17. I caught the very end of the Amistad one this morning. Only saw about the last 7 minutes. It's now scheduled to be DVR'ed everytime it's on.
  18. Did you check this?? It's sounds exactly like the problem I had.
  19. Exactly why ALL Big 12 fans ALWAYS root for the "other guys"! So, if OSU wins is Kansas #2 or is it THE University of Missouri Tigers? : 8-) I don't think it's a Big XII thing. I think it's pretty much the rest of the country. It just gets so old to hear how great the SEC is all year long. Sure the SEC is probably the best conference this year and I don't think anybody would doubt that. They are just not head and shoulders above the rest of the country like most SEC people would lead you to believe IMO.
  20. First of all I hope I can fish a lot more in '08 than I did in '07. In '08 I need to break the 7 lbs mark. I haven't done that in 3 seasons now. I would also like to break my PB Smallmouth, which really shouldn't be too hard. Lifetime: - I would like to catch a 10lbs bass in my home-state - Break my PB
  21. I just want a good game
  22. Is it more like a real annoying loud white noise? If so I have had that problem in the past. The problem was actually in the microphone settings. In my case the volume of the microphone was up way too high. You might want to give that a check.
  23. Man just think if you would have had access to the whole pond. You would have nailed em. Right? if you say no you are not a true fisherman ;D
