RESULTS ... Predict Your '07 Hawg
My prediction was I fell 8 oz short. Ironically my PB of 2007 was also the same exact bass I caught in 2006 in nearly the same exact location. (Literally less that 10 yards) She went 6 lbs in 2006 and 6lbs 8 oz in 2007. I hope to see her again in '08 Notice the growth on the tail 2007 2006

I Hereby Grant Hookemdown Freedom from His New Name!
Thanks Carl.....only 6 days to go.....unless of course, I get a reprieve from Governor KU_Bassmaster. I will review the situation tomorrow night. After all it has been less than 24 hours. There is a good chance the sentence could be reduced, but it definitely needs to stay through the weekend. 8-)

Orange Bowl
;D ;D That's great!!! At first I thought the bet was to just have the loser pick something out themselves, but since you left the door open ... ;D It definitely wasn't the most exciting game, but it was the most competitive BCS bowl thus far so it made for a pretty good football game. These bets are fun. I will have open bets to any one who wants a piece next year ..... or even this basketball season if anybody wants a shot at that (but I would advise you not to take that )

I stumbled upon those shows last night. They had like 3 or 4 in a row. Pretty entertaining. I thought the Snakehead show was the most interesting

What are your New Year's Plans tonight?
Taking er' easy. I just got home from a 14 hour drive last night. (felt like it took about 3 days) I am exhausted. It's also my birthday and I just got home from a very nice dinner at my favorite Italian Restaraunt with the family. Now we are just watching the football game and about to play some cards. Most of my friends went to Chicago this morning. They called me at 8 am to see if they were to pick me up. I just laughed. About the last thing I wanted to do was get back in the car. My birthday being on New Years Eve is usually a lot of fun. This year it will be very quiet and the truth is I am pretty happy about that. I guess I am getting old. ;D

hows the ks fishing?
Well it's not exactly prime time, but they can be caught. I probably wouldn't bother with bringing your gear.

Finally home
I am not a very emotional person, but when you hear of soldiers coming home it gets to me. It makes me all warm and fuzzy on the inside with joy and pride. And the same way when I hear of soldiers leaving, but more of a worrisome/proud feeling. I have two pretty close friends over there right now. I am so proud of them. I think/worry about them everyday. I cant even imagine what their families must go through. Cant say thank you enough man!!!!!!! And may your line never be limp once you heal up!!! (and I mean that in a fishing way )

Tequila
You mean that $12 Montezuma "College Special" isn't the best stuff around?? I don't know .... we have had some awesomely awful nights together :-[ : ;D Hey Robert, In your opinion is there a good bang for your buck tequila out there that is somewhat readily available. I am thinking of maybe Christmas gift for my grandfather. He kind of considers himself somewhat of a tequila connoisseur.

I am back

St.Croix 6'8 mxf legend bass
I have the Legend Tournament version and it's an absolute joy to fish with. It can handle just about anything you throw at it. I mainly use it for weightless plastic, small jigs, and plastic on small jig heads (Trick worms on a Spot Remover). I think you will find it great for the weight range and baits you have listed

Insomnia - Any Canidates?
In response to eastkybass ... I totally agree it is a learned behavior. I think it all started a few years ago in college when I would worked at a bar til 2 am 4 or 5 nights a week and then I would have to come home to study for an 8 am class. Spent many days that semester watching the sun come up. It seems that's when my problem started and continued even when I wasn't keeping that work/school schedule. My condition (if that's what you want to call it) has seen drastic improvements over the past 3 months or so though. I started forcing myself to stick to a schedule. It was tough for about a week, but then it slowly but surely started working.

Insomnia - Any Canidates?
Me too.

Favorite Steak House
Those would be my picks. I probably like Ruth's slightly more.

Your Bassin' Rig
If I am going with a buddy I usually just take 3 set ups. If I am going solo I usually take more like 6 or 7, but those extras are just pretty much duplicates of the first 3. 1. Shimano Scorpion 1000 Mg on a St Croix Legend Tournament 68MXF <----- This is combo I would pick if I could have just one. It can do it all, but I mainly use it for finesse baits. 2. Shimano Curado 100D on a soon to be Loomis IMX 844C 3. Team Daiwa Advantage 150P (5:1) on a St Croix Premier Crankbait rod
