Yes, all kidding aside .... It's pretty easy to tell you know your stuff and really believe in equipment, techniques, etc, etc, etc you suggest. And I bet at least 75% of the regulars have at least picked up on something. For me, two things I NEVER would have tried were Fat Ikas and Yo-Zuri. Thank you
  3. If I had to pic one deep crank, it would a Chartreuese w/ black back DD22
  4. Two years ago I bought my first LC. Coincidentally, that day was also the day I "invested" in a lure retriever. ;D I just can't explain how effective lure retrievers are. I have had about a 99% success rate with it, and I get hung up quite a bit. I think the over the past two years I have accumulated 20 or so LC's. I have lost only one .. and guess what it was??? ........ A Sammy!!!!!! It was a fairly chilly morning (for summer standards), very humid, and misting on and off. I see some shad bust the surface quite a ways up ahead, so I dropped whatever I was fishing and picked up my set-up with a Sammy tied on. I rear back and try to make the longest cast of my life. And it was ..... It was the farthest I had ever casted a rod and reel. : :'(

Muddy_Man , you would be fired day one ....... After a few minutes worth of research, I believe I am a little more qualified for the position: Although he loves his Stellas ... I believe he thinks the Stradic is the best spinning reel out there (taking price and quality in to effect). Baitcaster ... I can't recall Maybe Calais and Calcuttas??? Shimano is dead on It's the 6" senko (no knockoffs ;D) fished T-rigged weightless. I don't think he fishes them wacky. I think I remember that from when LBH challenged him Fat Ika is dead on Yes, most plastics must be Gary Yamamoto Hardbaits I do "think" the regular Pointer is his favorite jerkbait. While Lucky Crafts are at the top of the list, a few Bombers, Normans, and Rapalas are usable. Line- 12 lbs Yo-Zuri U.S. on casting gear, 6 lbs Yo-Zuri U.S. on spinning Rods - G. Loomis, St. Croix, and Lamiglass <---- Had to do some digging for that one ;D Another thing ..... The Brown fish are better than the Green fish As you can see Roadwarrior, I believe I am a little more qualified for the position. If there is such a position available please PM me with a $$$$$ offer. ;D ;D ;D ;D (I am bored and have some time. That took some research )
  6. This is from the Cabela's Master Fishing Catalog .... pg 135 Size Strength 4 8.5 6 13 8 15 10 17.5 12 20 14 23 17 26.5 20 34
  7. Congrats!!!! I can't wait til I get out of school and can get a new truck. '92 Accord still kickn' strong though. Even if I get a new ride, there is no way I will get rid of it. I'll drive it until it absolutely has nothing left. Almost 200,000 miles and still going STRONG!!! ;D
  8. I have used them both. Both are good lines. I used Yo-Zuri exclusively for a year and a half. About midway through last year I discovered Gamma. I am now switching to all Gamma. IMO it's a notch above Yo-Zuri across the board. Both are good lines though and think you would like either one.
  9. Roland Martin's show was unwatchable for me. Then one day I watched it and was pretty much laughing through the show. Funniest show on TV!!!! I love to see how he gets his plugs in there. I can't wait to see how he gets the "Rocket Rod" in there ..... I can see it now ...... "Now this is the perfect time to use this" (as he reaches into his rod box and pulls out the rocket rod) ;D ;D
  10. That REALLY sucks!!!!!!! Be sure to wear a PFD tonight :D ..... sorry
  11. ;D ;D ;D ;D Who does it in 4???? I think out of all my good high school friends (20 or so), I can think of 2 that graduated in 4 years. Then I also had one that got his undergrad and masters in 3 and 1/2. My degree is set up that the "goal" is to finish in 4 and 1/2. That took me 5 with taking summer classes 3 of those years. Now I am adding another major that should take me a semester ..... it's going to take me a year because of some prerequisite B.S.
  12. Happy Birthday .... young man!!!
  13. Very nice!!!!
  14. Another option would be a Citica 200 DPV. I think you can find them on ebay for around $105-$115 shipped. I know that's going slightly over budget, but don't we always. :
  15. It's all about supply and demand. There are some "die hard" green Curado guys out there and I have no doubt those reels will sell. I am almost one of those die hards, but I think I would spend the extra $10 and get a brand new Citica. Basically the same reel with a few extras.
  16. I keep it real simple: Green and Black Then in the fall I will add white.
  17. Emory and Alba are right next to one another. They are the two "towns" the lake sits in.
  18. CU-200B5 - "The Classic" Good choice to with the 5:1 ratio. You will be sooooooo happy you went with that. Pair that with the BPS crankn' stick and I think that will put you right at your limit. Some might disagree, but IMO this is one rod you don't have to spend a lot of money on.
  19. When you go to Cabela's to "look around", you leave your wallet in the car so the bait monkey has no chance. 50% of the time, somehow it finds out, and makes you go back to your car to get the wallet and buy something. BTW - If you try to hop in the car and drive away, he will shoot!!!!
  20. Russ, for some reason I thought you always had a Sony. I just got a s5200 for my birthday. So far ... I love it!!!! Also for what it's worth, I got a 2 GB card for $50 a few weeks ago at Best Buy.
  21. Excellent job!!!!
  22. Seems like there is a lot of good Copoly lines out there. Of the ones I have tried, Gamma is my favorite. BTW - We will never decide on one "best"
