Custom rod?
That's who I am currently having a rod built by.

Custom rod?
Here's a local guy http://www.finckesfishinghole.com/index.php?page=Home I haven't had any experience with him, but plan on having a build done at some point. I have been having 1 custom rod done every off season for the past few years. I found him after I had already ordered the current one I am having sone.

Does this rod exist?
Yep. Looking for a close quarters jerkbait/topwater rod. I used to have an old All Star (the grey ones) that I believe was dubbed as a "Spinnerbait" rod. It was EXACTLY the power and action I am looking for except it was 6'9". As a couple have mentioned, I might just have to get one made.

Does this rod exist?
I am looking for a short casting rod, under 6'6", what most people would consider either a stout medium or weak MH, and a fast to moderate fast tip.

Rod Locker Tubes
I am about to pull the trigger on this. Just need to get out to storage to take measurements. http://www.customrodracks.com/

Weirdest Thing You've Reeled In
I thought these were kind of ironic in one day ... Both "caught" on a DD22 First caught an old old Coors light can. Within the next 10 casts a caught a bra.

Costa Review
Got my first pair of Costas in 04? I think. My arsenal is up to 3 now. My last purchase were with the 580 lens as well. Don't see how it can get much better.

We lost a true friend
It's amazing to me that I have never met the guy in person, only directly conversed with him a couple times on here, but yet I found myself thinking about him quite a bit today.

Check your Dicks Sporting Goods
Nearest Cabela's to me is 125 miles, nearest BPS would be 265 miles away. I've noticed the two Dick's locations closest to me, (one is 15 minutes away, the other is 35 minutes away) have different items on sale. Lucky Crafts were not on sale for the most part at one store but the other had all LC's marked way down. The Rapalas were being restocked this very evening at the closest store to me, what a d**n mess that was. I also got some great deals on One Knockers for $2.00 a piece. Not all of them were on sale, just some select colors. Probably the best deal I noticed was the Invis-X marked down to $6.00 a spool. I would have cleaned the whole rack out of that but someone else beat me to it. They must be different in different areas. I went to two today. For instance one of them has about 4 different kind of lines to chose from and no LC's. The other one, while still pathetic, carries LC pointers in about 3 colors and that's it for LCs.

Check your Dicks Sporting Goods
For those of you that have good Dick's (?? ;D ;D??) in your area .... Do you also a BPS or Cabelas? The ones around KC suck and I rarely venture there. I would say they are just a notch above wally world, but not much. We also have both a BPS (actually 2 now) and a Cabelas. I wonder if that has something to do with it???

Check your Dicks Sporting Goods
The ones around me were DUDS. VERY few things on sale.

Any idea when this sale ends? Hope it doesn't end tonight. :-?

Lake Fork 12-18 March
Out of the places I have stayed, I like Burnin Stump the best. Has covered parking for your boat and free wifi that actually works. Bed was hard as a rock. Some like that, but I am bringing a foam matress topper next time. Lake Fork Marina is right down the street (where all meals should be eaten. yum!!!!) and is also a pretty decent place to stay. Only thing I don't like about Lake Fork Marina is that there is quite a bit of "action" going on. Kind of makes me worry about my stuff.

Cleaning my Curado 100D - Problem
Thanks guys. I think it was a combination of the two. I actually did the exact opposite to try to "fix" the problem in the first place. ;D : I added more lube and widen the gap. Turns out just the opposite was needed. Thanks again.

6.4:1 or 7.0:1
Out of those two, definitely the 6.4. I personally don't like anything over 5.

Cleaning my Curado 100D - Problem
I stand corrected. My 50E does include this part. Looks identical. :

Cleaning my Curado 100D - Problem
I am not sure what this part is called, but I believe it assists in the anti-reverse. It was making a light ticking noise late last year (no loss in performance), and I think I have discovered that this piece is the culprit. It does not look damaged or worn though??? Best I can describe it is a ticking sign like someone spins the wheel on Wheel of Fortune. Like I said there does not seem to be any performance issue. It's just kind of a nuisance. Also, interesting that this piece is not included in my Scorpion 1000 Mg. It looks like the same exact reel inside except for that piece. Hmmmm. I am also willing to bet that this piece will not be in my Curado E's. Just looking for some advice and maybe someone else had the same problem. Any quick fixes?

powerplant fishing
What do you do with you boat when you fish this time of year? Do you have heated storage?
