  1. Jigs, plastics, and spinnerbaits get tied on. Everything else gets a snap.
  2. I don't really shorten the skirt. It's more like I level it out and trim the strands sticking out.
  3. They follow around here where the fishing pressure is heavy.
  4. Nope. I'll go fishing in the morning and do the yard when I get home.
  5. Another good video!
  6. The nice thing about fishing with a jig is that when you change the trailer, you get an entirely different looking bait.
  7. Thoughts and prayers heading your way.
  8. I have a couple of spools of Big Game in 10# and 15# in the basement, in a drawer. I bought them last year and they are good as new.
  9. There are days around here when I have to experiment, so I try to mix and match. Sometimes the bass want a small 1/8 oz jig and sometimes they want a 1/2 oz jig. They may want a trailer with a small profile, and sometimes they'll hit with any type trailer attached.
  10. I use size 1 and 2 from different manufacturers. I've never had one break while bringing in a fish, but the lighter ones can get damaged when you're working free of a snag.
  11. Birthday hawgs! Happy Birthday!
  12. Welcome neighbor!
  13. Most of the water I fish is between 10 and 20 feet deep. On a day when it's 30 in the morning and then warms up into the 60s or 70s in the afternoon, the bite shuts down. I'm not sure what else is going on when this happens, but the bite dies. After a couple of days of these big temp swings, the bite will pick back up.
  14. A.I. at it's best.
  15. 5/8 oz black Jitterbug.
  16. I go fishing when I can. I can adjust baits based on brightness, water clarity, and the amount of cover in the water. Other than that I just keep my fingers crossed.
  17. I use 6.3.1 for just about everything.
  18. I use the KVD line conditioner on spinning reels with mono on them. I spray it on a day or two before the fishing trip. Then I put more on the night before the trip.
  19. I haven't fished them in a while, but they really produced along the edge of dead grass right before the new vegetation started to grow.
  20. Senko, BPS Stiko.
  21. I check the for wind and how much cloud cover there will be around the time I expect to start fishing.
