  1. When I'm fishing clear water with a lot of vegetation I will use green pumpkin, watermelon, or chartreuse pumpkin. If those don't work I'll try black/blue.
  2. Right now my big dream is to retire.
  3. Popular but not my fav Braid Fluoro Last but not least is Beetle Spins I like, but you don’t hear much about Mono Cordell Big-O
  4. First pic worthy bass of 2025. I caught it on a weightless 6" worm in thick vegetation in between rain showers.
  5. I usually carry a small pocket knife for daily use, but I'll up size if I know I'm going to do some type of cutting that day.
  6. Fishing pressure, time of the year, and weather.
  7. Welcome to the forums.
  8. I start looking at the weather for my next trip about 5 or 6 days in advance. I look at NOAA, two or three weather apps, and the local news. I really don't worry about wind direction, but I do pay a lot of attention to wind speed.
  9. Debo's Fishing Kristine Fischer Tyler Berger Richard Gene Tyler's Reel Fishing Realistic Fishing Fish30
  10. Anywhere from about 5 to 7 hours. It depends on the weather and how the bass are biting.
  11. Thank you for your service, and all you have given to this country.
  12. Praying for a healthy recovery.
  13. I have one of the older models and two of the new models with a spider on the side. The older model is a tank going on seven years old. The newer models are good, but not the quality of the older model. Watch the thumb bar on the newer models. They tend to want to wiggle around after some use.
  14. A lot of good advice up above. The only thing I can say is watch the weather, especially this time of year.
  15. I'll use spinning tackle with a 1/16 oz weight, or a 1/8 oz weight if there is wind. Most of the time I will be fishing with a small tube, 4" plastic worm, or a 4" stick bait.
  16. I've been using a BPS 3600 bag for about 8 years or so ever since the hinge broke on my old tackle box. I can either carry it by the handle, or attach the strap and wear it like a back pack.
  17. The only thing I really purchase any more are hooks and fishing line.
  18. I've never had any luck when the carp are cruising the vegetation. I usually move to a new spot.
  19. If it's calm I will try to get as close as possible and then cast out parallel. I just let the bait sink and let out line so it falls straight down as possible. Then I work it back slow along the ledge, and try not to get snagged.
  20. Most of the time I don't fish deeper than around 20 feet or so.
  21. This year I'm trying Strike King buzzbaits.
  22. 15 pound Big Game.
  23. Hang in there. When the weather settles down you'll be catching them like crazy.
