  1. I replace hooks on Rat-L-Traps right out of the package. I will also replace hooks if they become bent or damaged. I don't try to fix them.
  2. Mine are in 3700 boxes. I usually use only 3 sizes 1/2, 3/8, and 1/8 ounce jigs. Swim jigs in one box, and bottom contact jigs in the 2nd box. I kind of have my boxes set up like a grid. The same sizes go across, and the same colors go up and down.
  3. Went out Saturday to a fairly productive pond that I know of. Water was cold, and the wind was out of the North. It warmed up into the high 40's,but the wind had a chill to it. I was casting a Rat-l-trap and a bladed jig. Casting moving baits usually means I can go around this pond in about 1-1/2 to 2 hours . Caught my only bass on the second time around.
  4. Bet he wasn't using UL gear for that.

I had a colonoscopy done last October, but I had to have two of them. The prep didn't work all the way the first time, so I had to reschedule for a second procedure. They found a non cancerous growth and removed it. I was in and out of the office in about an hour and a half. I'm good for another 10 years.
  6. Boy that's different.
  7. I use the Zoom finesse worm and Creme scoundrel worms the most, but I have never seen a plastic worm that wouldn't catch a bass if you used it long enough.
  8. Over the years I have used snaps for everything, and then switched over to tying everything on. Now I use snaps for moving baits. Jigs, and plastics get tied on. The only time I ever had an issue with a snap failing was when the snap became damaged, and I didn't tie on a new one.
  9. Thanks for the detailed report, and good job!
  10. Probably about 80% online. I have a BPS and a Cabela’s near me but they never seem to have what I am looking for.
  11. Spend as much time out on the water as possible.
  12. I make sure that I have everything before I leave the house. I’ve left tackle, water, and lunch sitting in the garage before.

Zoom super chunk jr. or a fat albert.
  14. I cast a super fluke out weightless and just let it sink to the bottom on its own. Works best in 5 to 10 feet of water. Any deeper and you start looking at the time. Once the fluke hits the bottom I start working it like a hard jerkbait.
  15. Nice looking bass.
  16. I prefer a 7'0" rod for 1/2 ounce spinnerbaits and chatterbaits. I can cast farther, and cover more water.
  17. I had a chance to pick up a couple of the E series a few years back, and I didn't do it. It really bums me out now to think about it.
  18. I don't buy rods or reels online. I like to feel them in my hands before I buy them.
  19. I've never used a large swimbait, or an A-rig. Limited experience with shakey head because I always end up snagging and breaking off the bait.
  20. Did you catch that bass on the bottom of the lake?
  21. Nice going!
  22. Welcome to the forums!
  23. This year it's a 6'6" MF rod with a revo reel. I have it spooled with 15 lb Berkeley Big Game.
  24. If you are fishing shallow I would buy a Mann's 1 minus.
  25. After the bait got bit did you deadstick it? Sometimes the bass will hit a jig to try and injure, or kill it. After the bite, while the jig is just sitting on the bottom the bass will come back and pick it up.
