  1. Fiskars. When my kids out grew them I took them all and put them in my tackle bag.
  2. Nice catch, congrats on the new PB!
  3. I use 3/4 and 1 ounce weights. I usually use 50lb braid on a 6'6" heavy rod.
  4. Just to be safe I would take it apart and see if something is loose.

Black/blue, watermelon, black, and orange/brown are the four colors I use the most. Natural colors for clear water, and darker colors for dirtier water.
  6. I went pond hopping early Saturday since it was very windy. I was at the first pond for about an hour when I got a whiff of a skunk that was upwind from me somewhere. I didn't another bite after that.
  7. That one is a hawg for sure!
  8. I just wish the weather could stay warm for two weeks in a row.
  9. On all gift giving occasions ask for gift cards.
  10. Dang! I have had bad days, but wow!
  11. Busch Wildlife in St Louis.

Spam in the can with the key. Haven't had that in years.
  13. Sorry for your loss. When my dogs passed it was like losing a sibling, and a best friend, all rolled into one.
  14. Green sunfish. They are a blast to catch on UL rigs.
  15. I know how you feel. I was fishing from shore one time in a very weedy lake full of milfoil. I was using two ML rigs that day because I wanted to fish weightless. Caught one that went down into the weeds, and I couldn't get the fish out because my rod kept loading up instead of pulling the fish out. Just take it as a learning experience, and go back and get that sucker.
  16. The colors I use most are blue/black, green, black, and orange/brown. I start off matching the trailer to the skirt, and then go from there.
  17. White and watermelon seed.
  18. Good going! The weather around here is warm for a couple of days and then chilly for a few days.
  19. If your going to go deep into the weeds its probably a good idea to take a paddle with you.
  20. In a few years they will be collectors items.
  21. Good going on the catching, and bummer about the rod.
  22. Nice going! Good looking fish, too!
  23. Back when gas prices were really high a few years ago, we were driving into town to fill up the outboard gas tank instead of filling up on the water because the gas was cheaper. One time we had dinner, headed back to the cabin to get in some night fishing. About two hours later, and 3 or 4 miles down the lake, the outboard dies. It was out of gas. That's when we remembered we left the extra gas tank in the car. We got back to the slip after paddling with anything we could find. Lucky the wind was with us.
