  1. "Please stay on the hook", or "don't get off".
  2. I have lost several nice ones the same way. The line has gotten behind some type of solid cover before the bass hits, and I can't get the bass over the obstruction once it is hooked. This has happened to me while fishing from bank and fishing deep water.
  3. Welcome to Bass Resource!
  4. Snakes really have never bothered me. I just leave them alone, and they leave me alone.
  5. If your going into the weeds don't forget the bug repellent.
  6. That is just wrong.
  7. Nice smallie! Bummer about getting hooked though.
  8. 1. Jig and craw 2. Mann's 1 Minus 3. Zoom Super Fluke 4. Tube 5. Some kind of topwater bait.
  9. Nice looking bass!
  10. At least you can say that you caught a bass.
  11. Good Gracious! That bass is huge! Congrats!
  12. I bought some extra spools, and I have extra spools that came with some spinning reels. They are in a drawer in the basement.
  13. I usually bring 4 rigs. If I am fishing somewhere new, or if I know the conditions out on the water will be rough, I will bring 6 rigs.
  14. Nice one, congrats!
  15. I like getting out by myself, and leaving everything behind for a while. Out on the water it's just me, nature, and the bass.
  16. Great smallie!
  17. I sit back and wonder what the poor suckers at work are doing.
  18. A few of the lakes I fish have hybrids stocked in them. They are on the smaller side, but they can still put up a good fight on light tackle.
  19. That's a nice one.
  20. Sometimes when fishing a jig with a trailer I will switch the trailer if the bite is off. I usually start off matching the trailer to the jig. If that does not work I will put on a different trailer, but keep the contrast to a minimum. For example if I am using a black jig with a black trailer, and not getting any takers, I will put on a green pumpkin colored trailer.
  21. Wow, sorry to hear that. Thoughts are with you and yours.
