My Dad passed away Friday afternoon after a nearly a year long battle with leukemia. My Mom passed in 2005, so they are together now. He would have been 84 yo in July. My Dad was my best friend and fishing partner for many years. He was the reason that I started fishing, and he was the one that got me back into fishing 11 years ago. It's going to be hard getting back out on the water without him, but I know that is what he would have wanted.

It drives me nuts in the spring when a cold front comes through. I hate it when the high temp on Sat. or Sun. is in the 30's after being in the 50's and 60's all during the workweek.

I have had days when the bass bite better in the rain, and I have seen it when the rain shuts them down.

Grass, lilypads, and laydowns. Any combination of those three.

If I am going to a lake that I have fished before, and that I know, I do not have any problem sleeping. If I am going someplace new, then I will be awake all night.

I got a droid Samsung Blaze for Christmas two years ago. We upgraded from our 5 yo flip phones. Haven't looked back since.

The fish doesn't care what is bringing it to the boat.

Crawfish colors seem to be one of the best colors around here in the spring.
