Black Jitterbug at night or early morning before the sun comes up. I fish several lakes that have a canopy of trees hanging out over shallow water that make some dark shadows. Frogs seem to work better here than the jitterbugs do. I usually use green frogs while fishing these areas.

I have a BPS about 10 to 15 min away from the house, but I am starting to buy most of my stuff from Tackle Warehouse. About the only thing I get from BPS is fishing license, line, and weights.

If I am fishing less than 10' or so I will use a lighter weight. I'll go 3/4 ounce or more when I am fishing in deep water.

When I was little my mom use to make fruitcakes every once in a while. Never cared for them, but I did like her home made beer bread.

Honey glazed ham, corn on the cob, rice, and rolls. Apple and pumpkin pie for dessert.

I got a new ultralight rod, and a gift certificate from BPS. Wife and I also got new smart phones. Our old ones were over 5 years old, and starting to get run down.

They said that we were going to get up to 2". I don't think that we're going to get even a dusting.

Most of the time I use straight FC or straight mono. I am starting to think, around here, that the braid spooks the bass in the more heavily pressured lakes.

I just usually tie it on with no specific knot. IMO, if you get down to the knot on the reel then you should have respooled a long time ago.

When putting new line on the reel I like to run it through a couple of phone books to keep tension on the line.

I like to dead stick them weightless. I let them sit for about 10 seconds and give them a twitch.

Have you tried any exercises for your hand?

I keep my gear in the basement. That way I can at least hold them when its too cold to fish.

This past weekend is the first that it has really been too cold to fish around here. I hope that it warms back back up a little before I have to go back to work.
