  1. I use to but the people I told never came out to the lake. I'm not sure if they didn't believe me or they came out to the lake and didn't catch anything.
  2. Thanks Glenn. Great Video.
  3. Nothing but water in the boat. If I do bring beer along I save it until I am done fishing for the day and back in the cabin.
  4. 10% of my weekly net goes into my 401K, but I don't plan on a full retirement until both of my kids are out of school.
  5. I had that happen to me while on a riding lawn mower. It is one scary feeling that I will never forget.
  6. That one went 5-4.
  7. Went out yesterday with my partner before the sun got up too high and the heat set in. I was working a Jitterbug between matted up weeds on the surface. I tossed the bait about a foot from the bank over a road bed, and when I started to move it this 6-02 came up and took it. I caught one more dink, and my partner caught four around a pound each before they shut off and we went left for the day.
  8. Back in the early-mid 70's Birdseye made something called a thick-n-frosty. It was basically a milkshake that came frozen.
  9. I was going to say something, but I forgot what it was....
  10. This is how its been in a fairly large pond I have been fishing lately. It doesn't matter what bait you throw at them, but you have to get it along the weed line or the bass will not touch it.
  11. Its easier for me to set the hook while I am standing. The only times I sit are when I am changing baits or eating.
  12. We went out on Wednesday and did some pond hopping. For a while it looked like he wasn't going to catch anything and them he ended up with a 1-06 LM, which is his new PB. He got it tossing a topwater popper in between two weed beds around noon on a sunny day.
  13. I like to thread them on a 1/16 or 1/8 ounce jig and flip them into grass and weeds.
  14. Senko type bait Jig Plastic Worm 9" or longer.
  15. I've only missed four weekends since the 1st week in March. During the winter I'm bouncing off of the walls until spring. I just take a lot of sunscreen and water with me and I don't think about the heat and humidity.
  16. I used pork many years ago. Now I just use plastic.
  17. I have six set ups, but I normally only use three of them. crankbait/spinnerbait heavy jig finesse jig carolina rig/heavy t-rig finesse t-rig ultralight
  18. Good Post. I have around 100 bucks worth of BPS gift cards and now I know what I'm going to use them on .
  19. A couple of the ponds that I fish are very clear. I cast out my jig far enough to where I can't see it anymore. I will bring it back across the bottom or swim it back depending on what the bass want. When the jig gets close enough for me to actually see it, I'll bring it back in. If I can see the jig then the bass going after it can see me.
  20. Zoom large salty chunk, Zoom Super Chunks, and any plastics that are too beat up to stay on a t-rig any longer.
  21. I was torn between topwater and jiggin. Finally chose jiggin, just because I have caught more bass with jigs down deep than with topwaters this year.
  22. One of the small lakes I fish has both shad and crawdads in it. This lake is covered in hydrilla. The smaller size LM seem to go after the shad more, while the hawgs stay under the the grass mats on the bottom of the lake going after the crawdads.
  23. Probably a Zoom Mag II in Watermelon Red.
