  1. I didn't weigh it, but it looked like about 1-1/2 to 2 pounds.
  2. When we bought our house, my wife dragged me to all of the stores looking for furniture, drapes, etc. Now I can't stand to shop in crowded stores. When I go to buy fishing gear I am in and out usually within a half an hour and i only go during the week when there are no crowds.
  3. Went out on Saturday Morning to a little catfish pond. I have been fishing these lately since they don't get hit for bass like some of the lakes do this time of year. It was overcast all morning then it started to rain around 10 AM. Temp was in the 50's and 60's all day. Ended up catching eight dinks and one channel cat on minus-1's, rat-l-traps, and plastic worms. The largest went about a pound. All in all it was a pretty good day.

Check out Carsurvey.org and Edmunds.com. They have some really good customer review sites.
  5. Around timber I like to run them just fast enough to get the rattle working. Across the tops of weeds I use a moderate to fast retrieve. In deep water I let her sink down to the bottom.
  6. Has anyone seen this? Looks Veeerrrry interesting http://www.tackletour.com/reviewabugarciapreview08.html
  7. Yes you have the right to be mad. I'd say you have 2 choices if the school administration can't or won't take action. Take your tools back home or get a stronger lock if you are going to leave them at school. Since alot of schools across the country are taking a stand on school violence punching out somebody is more likely to get you in trouble than the other person.
  8. I was at work. At the time my office was right next to Lambert Airport. When the first plane hit, the boss told us about it and everyone got on the web to see what was going on and slowed down the servers. I called my parents to see what was going on and I was talking to my dad when the second plane hit. It was a eerie feeling going outside at lunch and hearing the airport that quiet. I hope I never hear it that quiet again.
  9. No stores around me sell Yo-Zuri except online. I have been using Big Game this year with pretty good results.

Glad your OK. Take it easy and get well.
  12. I like to t-rig them with a small weight. I'll throw them around weeds and work them just like a plastic worm or I'll drop them along side standing timber and let them fall like a jig.
  13. Crankbaits get snaps. Jigs, spinnerbaits, t-rigs, and c-rigs all get tied on.
  14. 1. Zoom Finesse Worm in Green Pumpkin 2. Zoom Z-Nail in Watermelon Candy 3. Zoom Baby Brush Hog in Green Pumpkin 4. Zoom Brush Hog in Black/Blue 5. Creme 6" worms in Grape
  15. Just what I was thinking ;D
  16. Welcome Aboard!
  17. Went out with my Dad to a pond that was about 5 or 6 acres for about 6 hours in the morning. I got three dinks pretty quick, each on a jig, brush hog, and tube worked slow across the bottom. Around 10 AM they started chasing minnows and hitting anything that was moving fast. My Dad caught 8 dinks in about 1-1/2 hours on Rat-l-traps. The weather was humid with light sprinkles early in the morning.
  18. Since about the last week in June I have had no luck on any type of plastic worm or senko. I am catching them on jigs, tubes, creature baits, and crankbaits, but when I throw a plastic worm its like somebody throws a switch and they stop biting.
  19. And when they start getting too beat up to be fished on a weightless t-rig, you can cut them down and use them as jig trailers.
  20. I have heard that mulberries make good carp bait. Another trick is to mix strawberry kool-aid powder in with your dough bait.
  21. You can't beat them for spinner baits or crankbaits. I wouldn't use one for a jig or plastics though. IMO I don't think they are sensitive enough.
  22. 90% of the time I fish a jig by dragging it along like a plastic worm. I feel a tap tap tap and set the hook. The other 10% of the time I dead stick it and then give it a short hop and then dead stick it again. You have to keep the line tight and watch it for movement. When a bass takes the jig the line may start moving off to one side or start making little jumps in the water.
