Cost for a days fishing trip/ freshwater
I've been fishing pretty close to home this season. As long as I fish from the bank I don't have any fees to pay. About the only cost I have is gas and food. Maybe $15 to $20 dollars a trip.

Neon-Orange Xanthic Smallmouth Bass
I don't think I would go wading in there.

my worm weights are getting tiny as i go.
It will depend on the wind and how deep I am fishing. I use 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4 most of the time unless I am punching mats.

T Rig Hookset time
It depends on how the bass are taking the bait. If they are slamming the bait or swimming off with it then I don't wait. I swing as soon as I feel them. I wait a few seconds to set the hook if the bass are short striking or if they are not biting hard.

Retirement.
Best case scenario is that I can retire late next year after my youngest has gotten her four year degree and is out on her own. Worst case is that I'll be working until I'm 65. I'm really hoping for the first option.

I need a new pond
3 or 4 rocks stacked on top of each other with flat rocks going around it, leaned up against it.

Does anyone else find prepping their tackle box oddly satisfying and supergluing plastics to jig heads therapeutic?
All I do with the tackle box is go through it and make sure I have enough of each bait. However, I do find that sharpening hooks can be quite relaxing.

I need a new pond
This little pond is great for numbers, but man it's getting weird out there. A couple of years ago I find a statue of an angel, and today I find this. My wife asked me if I touched it and I told her "NO". I turned around and walked back off of the point. BTW, I managed to catch 7 small bass with a weightless Yum Dinger. They were where the coontail met the water willows.

Which rod to choose for topwater spook fishing?
What size spook? For a Zara Puppy I like a 6'6" m/f, and for the regular Zara Spook I like a 6'6" mh/f.

Equipment vs. Experience
The experience you pick up fishing now will help you decide on the equipment you'll need to use for any upcoming fishing trip.

Vehicle Gas Mileage
I don't notice a difference in mileage from different brands. I do notice an increase in MPG after an oil change and when the filters get changed. I have also noticed the warmer it gets the better mileage I get.

Broiled Bass
I've fished in thick coontail when the air temp was in the high 90's. The bass didn't seem to notice. I've been on some waters around here the bite completely shuts down around 80 degrees.

Will High Gas Prices Affect Your Fishing?
On the way home today from work regular unleaded had dropped down to 4 bucks a gallon at the station about a mile from the house. At the truck stop over on the highway maybe 5 miles away gas is still $4.69 a gallon. ?
