As far as status, I figured that was why most people own/wear them. But, the diving thing makes sense. If my life was depending on an exact amount of "air time" I would want to make sure it worked!

I don't wear a watch on a day-to-day basis. I just use the clock on my cell phone. The only watch I own is a cheep green digital watch that I wear while running. It's light, and tells time (my only two qualifications). So, I'm obviously not a "watch guy". But, out of curiosity, what is the advantage of the higher-end watches? Do they keep more accurate times? Are they lighter? More comfortable?

I'm glad Ray Lewis was able to go out on top. But, if he retires to become a commentator, I'm going to have to get an interpeter or watch the games in silence. I can't understand a thing that dude is talking about.

This whole philosophy is for the parents, not the kids. Kids aren't stupid. They know who scored the most points. They know who won and who lost. The only thing that not officially "keeping score" does is make the parents feel better about themselves. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Your kid will know if he won or lost.

He was an above average receiver who played in a market that gets a lot of media coverage. I don't know whether or not hes a HOFer, but he was more than average.

Maybe a more sensible approach is if a person is opposed to gun ownership he could just stay out of the gun forum. I'm opposed to drinking, but when a thread comes up in the "Everything Else" forum about alcohol, I don't rant and rave about it. Instead, I just don't open the thread. I understand wanting to stand out, and agree that sending a hard copy of any document can help do that (in addition to e-mail). But, this is not the 1950s. If you send me a hand written note I'm not going to hire you. Type it out and print it off. Hand written notes are for love letters, not business correspondence.

I've read/heard that the vaccine dosn't take effect until two weeks after the shot is given, and that it cannot give you the flu since the virus is "dead". Yet, a lot of people get the shot, then immediately come down with the flu. Coincidence? I wish I knew.

Well, there are a lot of coaches and qbs that would love to make the playoffs every year. And, out of the teams that make it, all buy one exit the playoffs without being the champion. They have won three Super Bowls, and led their team to two more. They're 5-2 in the AFC Championship game, and won three playoff games in the past two years. Now, they haven't won the Super Bowl since '04, but he has his team to three playoff wins in the past two years. And, you do remember that they were in the Super Bowl last year, don't you? I'd be happy if my team (the Cowboys) were as competitve as the Patriots are every year with Brady and Belichik. You can all them choke artists if you want, but there is not a more winning coach/qb duo in the sport today, so if we're throwing around titles, we would have to lable the rest of the NFL as a bunch of losers.

We had a lady in the Church who got GBS from the flu shot two years ago. She is only about 75% recovered physically, and the doctors say she's as good as she's going to be. I live in a town of 100, not 100,000. Scary.

If that's the case then there are a lot of people breaking the law in NC. And, they're advertising their criminal behavior on signs posted clearly in front of the cash register. I don't understand why setting a minimum would be illegal. If you are a store owner and you chose to set a minimum to use a credit card, and I as a customer don't like it, I can choose to shop somewhere else.

No, an employee snagged the only two cases that came off the truck, and I just happened to see him paying for it. I offered to buy a brick from him, and he told me to meet him in the parking lot so he wouldn't get in trouble with his bosses. I followed him to the parking lot at he sold me two bricks. Let the squirrel hunting continue!!!

Cash for everything but gas, recurring monthly bills, and online purchases. For that we use a CC that has a good cash-back program. We use cash the majority of the time, and I've found that I can get more out of my cash than a CC. For example, I was looking for some .22lr ammo at Wal-Mart today. They were out, but an off-work employee had just bought a case as they were unloading it from the truck. I watched him purchase it, then offered to meet him in the parking lot and buy a couple of bricks from him. He agreed and I gave him LESS cash than the price he had just paid (on his CC). There's power in the sight of that green stuff!

What in the world? I can't find .22lr at Wal-Mart, BPS, Cabela's, Cheaper Than Dirt, or a couple of other online ammo suppliers. Does anyone know of a web site that I can fine non-match grade ammunition? I'd be much obliged. We have 5 weeks of squirrel season left, and I don't have enough but for about two weeks. If I've got to start hunting with the shotgun I'm going to go broke!
