The Dow finnished UP 485 points today! The 777 point drop yesterday was all I heard about on the news last night, but the 485 point upswing got just a passing mention tonight. That's strange. : Oh well, I like good news too!

I've had a really bad weekend football wise. Friday night our local High School got blew out, Saturday the Pirates got blew out, and today the Cowboys lost to the stinking Redskins. If Philly wins this game tonight I'm going to be really mad. >

Hookem, The "so called adults" you're talking about don't just "think they are in some kind of authority." They are in some kind of authority. Don't forget that fact, use it. There is a chain of authority. Someone has authority over those who have authority over you. Go above the "so called adults" heads.

If you are truly concerned about this situation, tell the folks in your community who can do something about it. Tell the superintendent of schools, attend a school board meeting and voice your concerns, or write a letter to the editor of the local paper. Good luck, preach4bass

I don't see the problem. Just take off to fish the tournament. That certainly won't be longer than three days.

"What new station do you watch most?" I don't have any "new" stations. I only have rabbit ears, so it's the same old thing (ABC, NBC, and CBS). As for Fox, it's not a "new" station either, it's fairly old. I guess the "news" you've been getting from MSNBC has misled you. ;D

I received a generic PM from one of our new members about a website he is working on. I clicked the link to the website on his BR personal page (or whatever that thing is called). The website is: http://www.findalure.com/index.php The site is just a BR wannabe with four total posts on it. That was bad enough, but to top it off, I clicked on one of the topics and was flooded with pop-ups. They were coming up one every half a second until I shut my computer down. I'm not computer savy enough to know if the pop-ups were linked to the website, but I just figured I'd give ya'll fair warning. If nothing else, don't waste your time with it.

It seems like September 16th was only yesterday, but now it's already Winter.
