  1. Any two-man opens coming up? I'll take you up on that deal!
  2. Thanks. I found his menu online. He had a steak on there for almost $50, and the cheapest was $25!!! I appreciate what he did, but I don't believe I'll be patronizing his resturant.
  3. O.J. Simpson went to a steakhouse in Louisville, KY and the owner wouldn't serve him. He got a standing ovation from the other customers for taking his stand. I'm going to KY this Summer and I'd love to take my wife to this steakhouse for our anniversary, but I can't find the name of the resturant anywhere. Can someone help me out with a link? Thanks.
  4. Yea, I've seen them before. Them, and a whole lot of other baits. Softer, harder, darker, lighter, smaller, bigger, brighter, duller, heaver, lighter... That bait right there is called a "Bait Monkey Fix-er." There's no way in the world you'll ever catch a bass off that thing, but that's not why you bought it. You bought it for a bait monkey fix! ;D

The tacklebox first, now the combo, did you lose anything else or have you found everything now?
  6. What's the different between the Ultimate Bluegill and the "regular" bluegill series?
  7. I got my first swimbaits in the mail Friday. On Saturday they were responsible for a 5-8 and a 6-10! They were Mattlures baby bass swimbaits, but I've heard a lot of good stuff about his bluegill. BUY MATTLURES. I also got a cheaper swimbait and tried it Saturday and after about five casts cut it off and put the little more expensive Mattlures on.
  8. A couple of weeks ago a buddy of mine went to Guntersville with a group of over 20 guys from KY to go bass fishing. They are strictly catch and release at their home lakes, but at Guntersville they keep everything they catch. Thankfully, the weather messed them up and they didn't catch as many as they could have! Still, every year they go and fish for several days and bring hundreds of bass out of the lake (because they're not hurting THEIR home waters). There's only one word to describe that: SELFISH
  9. 8lbs. 9 oz. on a Bandit 200 series crawdad crankbait (5 bass over 7 lbs. all on Bandits)
  10. If you had to catch a 10 lbr. and could only fish with 5 lures, what would they be? Type, brand, color?
  11. ;D ;D ;D That's funny. Are you joking? "The only thing a landowner can do is ask the trespasser to leave." That's wrong in any state you live in. The landowner CAN slit the tires to the trespassers car. The landowner CAN beat the snot out of the trespasser. The landowner CAN shoot the trespasser. Trespassing is illegal (just like slitting tires, beating the snot out of someone, or shooting them). Why risk trespassing illegally to get shot illegally? Trespassing is just dumb. Bad things CAN happen.
  12. Jimmy, Who said anything about the bank? The guy who owns the pond puts his 19' Ranger in it and fishes! ;D (I did catch those bass from the bank though!)
  13. Yesterday morning I ran out to a local pond for a few minutes and on my first cast caught a 6-4 bass off a bed with a lizzard! Yesterday afternoon I went fishing with a guy from Church in the river and caught a 10-14 catfish! I also recieved two packages in the mail. One from Mattlures and one from BPS! What a mail day. This morning I went back to the local pond to see how the Mattlures swimbaits worked (I'd never used a swimbait). In 30 minutes I caught 4, the biggest weighing just over 5 lbs. I also had three nice bass follow the bait but didn't take it. Back to the pond this afternoon for a little while to try a new Rico topwater bait I just got. While I was tying the bait on I saw a nice bass, finished tying, and on my first cast with this lure I caught a 5-8! A buddy came up and I gave him a Mattlures swimbait to try from his boat. He cast it three times and caught a bass, then quit fishing it for a while to try the normal stuff. A while later he picked the swimbait back up and caught a 6-10! These are the first high-dollar baits I've ever bought and I've already got my money's worth. I'm ready to put in another order!
  14. Here are my beliefs: Bonds has never used steroids, Pete Rose never bet on baseball, and O.J. didn't do it. Hey, I know this is off topic, but did I tell you guys about the conversation I had with my three friends the other day, Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy. We were having a conversation about...
  15. Wow, what a timely thread! KVD wins a tournament and is sitting in 2nd for AOY.
  16. Wow! You'd have to be...well...a Burley man to haul that thing ;D
  17. When you crank it as fast as you can does it stay on top? If not, how deep does it dive?
  18. It's been years since I kept a bass to eat. However, this evening I went to a small, overcrowded pond with my father-in-law and caught about a dozen bass out of it that we kept to eat. All of the bass were fairly small (10-12 inches). All the fish in that pond are the same size, so we're trying to get the numbers down so the size will go up. I guess this is the right strategy? :-/ Anyway, it was fun, and will be tasty!
  19. Hey New Bass Man, KVD must have read your post last night and got mad. He went out and caught a nice sack today and is sitting in third place after day one on Guntersville! ;D
  20. I'm not much of a golfer, but I'd say that Tiger Woods is the KVD of golf. They have a couple of important things in common: 1. Neither man wins every event they enter. 2. Any time they enter an event, everyone's trying to beat them because they are the best at their sports in the world. 3. If either man goes for over a month without winning a tournament there's a bunch talk on the internet about how they haven't done anything lately ;D
  21. "Fishy, fishy, in the brook, won't you get on my hook?"
  22. I'm abuot to purchase a couple of these but have a couple of questions: How do you use them for top-water? In your opinion, are they worth the cost?
  23. And just think, these are the same folks who make our high dollar baits. :-? I guess when we call Lucky Craft to order some top water baits, and tell the operator that we want to "walk the dog" with the bait, we'll have to translate our order to Japanese and say "walk the sheep."
  24. Everyone needs to know how to fish a spinnerbait. I prefer T-1 Terminator spinnerbaits with one willowleaf blade and one colorado, and a chartruse/white skirt. Good luck.
