  1. You sure can. There will be engine mounting holes in the transom you'll have to fill up and seal but other than that you'll have no problem. Re-trailering will involve backing it in further. I've done it before on lakes that absolutely don't allow an OB motor to be fired up.
  2. I'm not 100% on this but.. If you pay somebody through paypal using the gift option I believe you've sacrificed your right to file any sort of claim. As far as paypal is concerned, you're sending the money to the recipient as a gift, not in exchange for something in return. Then it wouldn't be a gift would it? Since there is no exchange of merchandise or service in the transaction paypal has no liability to either party in the gift transaction. Paypal charges a fee on any transaction whether you used a credit card or not. The protections provided weigh very heavily in favor of the buyer, not the seller.
  3. mid 40 degree very muddy water? Stay home. Seriously, your time would be better spent lubing reels or reorganizing tackle.
  4. I don't know what the market is like in the Pacific northwest but $15-20k in the midwest opens LOTS of doors to get a really nice boat in the 19' range. Follow Fishfordollars advice.
  5. Garage kept ehh?? Doesn't look like it.
  6. Before and after of my '86 Champ after a deck extension last spring. after
  7. If you're going out of Shawnee Bend you really don't need to drive far to catch a limit that time of year.
  8. Batteries and tires are a given. Obviously the fuel needs to be purged from the tank but the real question was where was the boat stored? Inside or out? Left behind contaminants in the fuel tank and lines would what I'd be worried about along with how the engine was put away for that long nap.
  9. It used to be loaded with it 20 + years ago. The Little Gravois was almost completely choked full for a few years. There was a very aggressive eradication program started in the early 90's along with a natural die off that took care of it from the Gravois and throughout the north shore area where it was really bad. I haven't been up there in a few years, maybe it's made a come back.
  10. Had the same thing happen on the last float trip I was on. Jostled all my beer all over the floor of the canoe and caused me to spill my current open beer all over myself....... gravel bars..... who put those in the river anyway?
  11. It goes hum dee dumm dee dumm de diddle dum de dum shamila damila then the refrain.. dee dee dee deedle dum. de dum dum.
  12. It used to be the formula for speed increases in a typical bass boat were 1 mph = $100. I don't chase the speed thing anymore but I'm sure it's probably closer to $200-300 now.
  13. I've seen them typically selling for around $100-125. $250 for a Curado 3.8? ;D
  14. $8000? For that price is it Brand new?
  15. Check Ebay. They've been selling there at Buy it now for $225 shipping included.
  16. Cajuns were a great brand when they were in business. They were folded when Genmar bought them (and their plant burned down.) The Rajun's were pretty quick boats. If that one has been well cared for like it looks, it should be a great fishing platform. As with all boats, have the engine looked at by a mechanic and have the same guy check your transom and floors if you don't know what to look for. If you can get that boat for $4500-4800 you'll get quite a deal.
  17. I heard Trackers were made by a Chinese division of Silstar. They're only about 2% aluminum, 98% of the hull is made from ground up, recycled computer components.
  18. An investment group bought out the old Bumble Bee boat company. The phoenix line is a new design and hull, the "Bee Line" of boats are the old Bumble Bee hulls built on the molds that were bought. While I never owned one I heard that the old Bee's were well built boats but were fairly regional as the company didn't have a large dealership base.
  19. Don't know where coffee county lake is. I'm on the other side of the state from you.
  20. I would pretty much plan on throwing a jerkbait most of the time. Little too early for the crankbait bite to start unless we get some freakishly warm weather between now and then and this winter has been freakishly cold so far.
  21. MLB turned a blind eye to the steroid use that created the home run derbies that ran in the late 90's because the turnstiles were finally spinning again in major league parks around both leagues after several years of down attendance after the strike in 1994-95.
  22. So is cheating just a way of life up there?
  23. Dying shad are the primary staple of bass in the midwest in Jan-very early April. As you fish you'll often see large shad, up to 12" just under the surface and barely swimming along in their final days. there are many more you can't see. They've lost some control of their ability to adjust their swim bladder to maintain bouyancy. These are prime targets for big bass. Incapable of escaping due to their sickened nature, a big shad becomes a full sized meal for a LM without it having to expend much energy to get it. it's the reason suspending jerkbaits work so well in that Jan - early Apr. time frame. They mimic the dying movements of a shad perfectly.
  24. My wife is a major Cardinal fan. She is massively wizzed at this deal.
  25. I'm going to try an experiment this year and add a shot of JJ's into my coffee on the morning I'm fishing. My thought process is that I'll being peeing garlic scent by the afternoon. Thoughts?
