  1. The JME is not shown as a regular in the BPS lineup in the main catalog. I saw the reels in a flyer I got yesterday at $119.95. Same as a signature, just weighing less. The overall profile of the reel is a little larger than say a PQ or a Revo. Good reels.
  2. I have. It's quite the norm around these parts. Even the state puts out large brush piles in many of the lakes and reservoirs as a means of fish enhancement. Most state lake maps have the locations marked and there are usually markers on shore indicating that a brushpile is directly off shore of the marker. Nothing wrong with fishing them whether in a tournament or not.
  3. ;D : You know what they say don't you? Everybody likes a little ar$$, but no one likes a wisear$$. Unfortunately given my reel experience, I'd have to give a similar answer. :) 6 different rods is about as narrow as an elephants butt.
  4. Pan fried fillets from a 6lb + bass are my favorite. Red Snapper Swordfish Tilapia Crappie
  5. x3 on the hammer. Nice to see you got your lawn mower running!
  6. Mythbusters did a thing on what things were the germiest out there. Oddly enough, public toilet seats scored fairly low compared to the sponge or dishcloth you use at your kitchen sink.
  7. Hard to go wrong with a Vendetta but The Castaway XP3's and standards are also nice. Falcon is always a good choice but I've really heard good things about the Okuma Guide selects. The St Croix Mojo's are liked by some and as for the Shimano Compre, hey, it's a Shimano. Hope that helps narrow it down some.
  8. Got one of those in my email yesterday "claiming" someone had attempted to access my online account. Always check the link properties of the website they're attempting to direct you to. In this case, it WAS NOT BoA despite the fact that when you clicked on it you got an exact representation of a BoA webpage.
  9. Quite a whiny bunch around here.
  10. Here's another no vote for boat fenders. Unless you're on a lake with a lot of recreational boating that will be tossing your boat around in a boat stall a lot, bumpers are usually a waste of storage space, especially in an 18' boat which will have limited storage to begin with. Rather, invest in decent mooring lines and learn how to properly tie off a boat to the dock so you prevent damage due to excessive wave action.
  11. Audience - GASP!!!! A BPS crankin stick?
  12. but...but.... it's a Shimano. Not working right out of the box? Aren't those handmade by God himself? :-?
  13. I've seen those glasses at the party and costume shop next to the clown wigs.
  14. If it's an older boat out of the FW, a dealer normally will provide a very limited warranty at best. Dealer completely checking the boat out? They'll go through most of the major stuff but don't be surprised to have issues with it down the road, some of which won't be covered by that limited warranty. If you have limited boat buying experience and know of anyone that does you could bring along the dealer is probably the better way to go.
  15. Unfortunately, those boats weren't made for saving your spine though. Rick Clunn did a thing on TV recently demonstrating that having your butt down inside a boat with your legs sticking basically straight out was the worst way to go down a lake if it's rough. With an elevated seat position your legs are angled more downwards and are useful in helping absorb some of the shock of a boat hitting a wave. He suggested sitting on a seat cushion to raise yourself even more. With you butt flat you wind up taking all the wave straight up the lumbar and spine. A sure way to a sore back at the lake.
  16. Remember, bass fishermen have been known to lie at times.

Had a child born with a very rare, genetic birth defect almost 23 years ago. He lived for 3 month's, most of that time in one of St Louis' Childrens hospitals in the ICU unit while experts tried to figure out what was wrong with him. When they finally figured it out, it turned out the defect was fatal. We brought him home and disconnected him from life support. He died 2 days later. Everything else has been a cake walk since compared to that.
  18. Fuel tanks mounted midship, under the seating area, cause the seating area to sit higher unless the hull design is a deeper V.
  19. I fish All Stars exclusively. Mostly older titaniums, some platinums and a couple of the team series. As sensitive as any rod out there and you're not worrying about them breaking on the hook sets. They can take a beating and keep coming back for more. If I wasn't using All Stars, I'd definitely be fishing Falcons.

The lake looks low. I'm surprised considering the amount of rain we've had this winter. Nice way to start off the season!!
  21. If it hits 200 you might get a very special guest appearance by the Pope!!
  22. I kicked on in and had one go out of the boat going down the lake. = 2.
  23. I don't think the boat manufacturers intended for you to sit in the pedestal seats while the boat is underway with the big motor.
  24. I think you can JB weld that hole closed.
