Its about ten dollars more per rod but the Shimano crucial line of rods are a great value. CRC-C70MH Would be a great crank bait rod. CRC-X66MH Would be my choice for plastics However right now i have heard of some good deals on the avid rods and from what i have heard they are great rods. Usually about 170 on sale for 100-120.

Look at the calais 100, I think its a better size. I have big hands and the 100 feels a lot better than the 200 which i did have but traded it for an 100.

Have you still been fishing at least. I couldn't stand to hear that ranger is in the garage all the time.

I have several loomis rods from gl2 to imx. I also have a croix legend tournament and my dad has a legend elite. Their is no doubt in my mind that loomis makes a better rod. I would take the imx over the elite any day for straight performance however the looks on most loomis rods are plain and the croix's have painted blanks and a painted reel seat for the elite. Are you talking about the mossyback series or the glx for the loomis?

If you can afford it why not go for it is my question. It will most likely make your time on the water better. If you plan to continue fishing why not get the good stuff.

This is two different things like said before but i feel some of the ufc fighters would do better in a plain boxing match than we are giving credit. Those ufc fghters are tough as nails. They would come after the boxer like crazy just throwing punch after punch. The gloves they wear in ufc look like nothing and they get hit all day with those, a boxers punch with those big gloves on i don't think would do a lot of damage.

If you want a spinning rod i have a daiwa light and tough that i would consider selling or trading. Just don't use spinning rods enough to keep it.

Sounds like a great day, except for losing that one. What kind of rods did luke have. Did he have a box full of loomis. I thought when he won the classic he said the glx helped him out.
